Came here with 2 kids. The set up was perfect for us. Location of the unit was good; walking distance to nice restaurants, Cafés, shops, supermarket. Service was excellent and host was responsive and helpful.

I absolutely loved my time in there, we even extended the stay because we were in love with the villa. The personal were so loving and each corner of the homestay is filled with love and intention. You could feel the energy! Beautiful plants all around, like a tiny jungle. I couldn’t have picked a better place. I recommend it and if I come back to Canggu, I will stay here again. They also offered to pick me up at the airport, it was late at night and everything went super smooth and great. Truly happy with this experience 💖🙏

Kadek and his family were the loveliest hosts. Very responsive and helpful. The breakfast was divine. The level of care put into the tree house and the luscious garden and secluded pool is unreal. Thank you !

Great value just down the street from the monkey forest, shops, restaurants. Maybe 20 minute walk to the public market. I walked everywhere. It is a short walk down a narrow paver path to the homestay from the street where you'll be dropped off. The room and bathroom are super clean and spacious, everyone friendly. I'd go back again.

I cannot say enough positive things about my stay at Santra Putra and about the wonderful hosts, Komang and his family. What a special, special place. The room was spacious and lovely and surrounded by lush beautiful gardens teeming with flowers and birds and riotous greenery. There is art everywhere and the founder is an accomplished and talented artist and educator. His wife Made and sister in law Ketut, and son Komang, and the team there are all just amazing humans, full of goodwill, humor and kindness. I can’t believe I dropped into this awesomeness. Santra Putra draws some wonderful people as well and conversations around the breakfast table were wonderful and generative. I felt the perfect balance of privacy and connectivity. The kitchen in my space was great for my needs and I felt right at home. Bed was very comfortable and I always felt safe as a solo traveler. Location great. Access to many cafes, restaurants, beautiful walks.. Thank you Komang and family. Will return.

awalnya stay disini untuk 2 hari namun extend 1 hari lagi tempat yang nyaman, bersih, honey fasilitas lengkap, untuk yg bawa anak mungkin satu kurang microwave saja untuk memanaskan makanan atau sarapan . overall is good. next akan menginap disini lagi apabila berlibur ke bali

I had an absolutely beautiful stay at Bungalow Jepun! It felt like a wonderful sanctuary and home away from home in the heart of Penestanan which itself is a lovely peaceful village / neighbourhood with lush walkways through the rice paddies - the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of central Ubud (which is also easily accessible). Barbara and Henry were so warmly welcoming to me. I really appreciated all of my interactions with them and their thoughtful recommendations :) My arrival (after a late evening flight into Denpasar) was smooth and easy with Blue their recommended driver. The bungalow itself was spotless, light, private (down some steps from the main villa and surrounded by greenery in the garden) and very comfortable. Yellow Flower Café and Intuitive Flow (a sweet little yoga studio with amazing views) are just a few steps away in the neighbourhood. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend!

This accommodation is one of the nicest places I have ever been able to relax in. The room is a pleasant size, very clean and the terrace and pool invite you to relax. There is sufficient electricity and lighting both inside and on the terrace. The kitchen and air conditioning are very modern and worked well. There are very good warungs within a 3-minute walk, as well as a grocery store, a clothing store and everything else you need. The Sidewalk is a great place to sit in the evening and enjoy live music. Furthermore, one of the largest statues in the world is only a 30-minute walk away. If I could, I would give this accommodation 10 stars. I will definitely be back.

Kadek's place was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the main town of Ubud, which is becoming a little too crowded. Yet, it is very walkable to the Bintang Supermarket, from where we could get what we need. Additionally, there are many cafes and restaurants also within walking distance. The villa was clean and well-kept. Kadek was very responsive and helpful. There is absolutely nothing to complain about.

Review: I had a wonderful stay at this place! It’s incredibly cozy and peaceful, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The surroundings are well-maintained, adding to the charm and comfort of the stay. A special mention to the friendly caretaker, who was always helpful and ensured everything was just right. This home is absolutely beautiful! We have been traveling for almost a year, and this gem in Ubud might be our favorite place yet. The family you are staying with (their home is just across the courtyard) is so lovely, friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. They made us breakfast every morning with some of the most delicious Bali food! As for the home, we happened to be the first family to stay here, and this place is like a five star hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed, bathrooms are large with both a shower and tub, and Bali handmade woodwork is everywhere you look. The location is just outside of Ubud center, and trust me, you definitely don’t want to be in the center. It’s only a short motorbike ride into town, and being just outside the city is so much better! It’s quiet and you can actually enjoy more of the culture of Bali and all its beautiful colors and textures. We can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Putu’s Villa. It was our first time to Bali and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! Putu was friendly and clear to communicate with leading up to our stay and Putu and Made helped me organise a few special extras (floating breakfast, flower bath and happy bday sign) to make the trip memorable for my husband’s 40th birthday. We found this villa a calm quiet base for our travels, which we were very grateful for and incredible value. The villa was cleaned spotless every day and always felt so fresh to come home to after a day of exploring. The pool was a treasure! Thanks again for the lovely hospitality and stay.

Hôte très réactif et attentionné ! La chambre était jolie et conforme à l’annonce, la piscine vraiment agréable pour se détendre, et surtout l’emplacement : parfait, proche de tout. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, je recommande sans hésiter !

From our first enquiry through to the end of our stay Sukma & her team went above and beyond to accomodate us and our baby. The daily breakfast is delicious, room cleaned regularly, grounds of the villa tidied daily. The pool was kept immaculate throughout and was ideal for our 9 month old baby with 3 different depth areas so she could sit and splash around in the shallow area . The villa is very well located for shops, beaches, restaurants and bars. We felt safe and secure throughout. It is also really quiet and peaceful despite being quite near to main road / shopping and restaurant strips. If I could I would give Sukma 10 stars.

Had a really nice stay here - it’s in a great location but down a side road away from the noise. Very peaceful and clean. The staff are lovely. There’s a nice space outside to sunbathe or dip in the plunge pool. Highly recommended.

Strand zu Fuß erreichbar. Viele Leckere Restaurants in der Nähe (auch Vegan). Made war stets bemüht und leicht zu erreichen. 👍

This place is an absolute gem of a homestay. I’ve stayed in a few over the past few months in Ubud but this one immediately became my favourite. It’s so peaceful in the courtyard - all you can hear is bird song & a little water fountain in the garden despite Ubud central being down the road. My room was huge, clean, had loads of amenities like safe, kettle, tea/coffee, & hairdryer. Like others have said, I really enjoyed the banana pancakes for breakfast on my patio! Agung himself is extremely responsive, friendly, & proactive - there was one evening when the WiFi briefly went down due to an issue with the solar panels, but it was only 5 minutes from me messaging him about it to a member of staff running out into fix it & the WiFi service resuming, so they are always on hand to resolve any issue right away. All the staff & family members in the compound in fact are so lovely & welcoming. I loved it here so much I immediately booked to come back a few days later! Very much recommended!
