The Oaks, Twyford Moors, South Downs National Park

There is WIFI and a large dining table to work at. There is a fully equipped kitchen. The bed is a Superking. The Oaks is annexed to our house, so we are available to answer any queries, give guidance on places to visit and dine and usually we will be available to show you the property in person. Twyford Moors is an area of outstanding natural beauty in the South Downs National Park. The River Itchen, a famous chalk stream, is close by. This is also Jane Austen country—visit her home at Chawton, and Winchester Cathedral, where she's buried. There are beautiful riverside walks including a 2hr walk into the heart of Winchester along the water meadows and by St Catherine's Hill. There are country pubs and excellent restaurants available locally and 15 mins drive away in Winchester There is parking for one car under cover in the car port but also room in the drive for a second vehicle . There are some beautiful walks along the River Itchen nearby. The outdoor terrace area to The Oaks is not enclosed and young children would need to be observed when outside. We have two, small friendly dogs that may visit your terraced area as it is not enclosed.

Welcome to our Annexe. It is a modern, self-contained 2 storey accommodation with a modern fully fitted kitchen (and appliances), living area, gallery bedroom (with double bed) and ensuite. Built in 2013, the annexe is accessed via a private entrance. Free on street parking is available. The Annexe is located in a quiet residential close, approximately 1.1 miles from Petersfield High Street. A peaceful and self contained home situated in a cul-de sac, conveniently located just 23 mins walk from central Winchester or 7 mins walk to bus stop ( every 15mins). Local amenities include Waitrose, pharmacy, wide range of restaurants/take away. Pub offering food within 15 mins walk or country pubs within 10 mins drive. Accessed by an outside wooden staircase, the Sail Loft has a very large window providing wonderful views across the water meadows of the River Avon. This is a lovely, light-filled but cosy large studio room. There’s a kitchenette and a woodburner for those winter evenings, and we’re on the edge of the New Forest with lots of beautiful walks and cycling routes all year round. There are so many good pubs locally, and we are also only a half-hour drive from the South coast and its beaches.

Ideally placed for walking, cycling and sightseeing in the forest or on the coast, our airbnb is also near the historic city of Southampton. On the edge of the New Forest, our fresh & comfortable guest house is the perfect location. It's a gentle 10 minute walk to the village where you will find a pub, quality cafe. The village of Hythe is nearby, 10 minutes to drive to picturesque Beaulieu and the Beaulieu Motor museum, bus and ferry services to Southampton. Calshot/Lepe beaches are only 5/6 miles away.
