Our stay was wonderful from correspondence with Vikki to the beautiful house, it has absolutely everything you need with great recommendations to local facilities. The golf course is gorgeous and Rusty's was so much fun with live music. I would recommend Herron Cove for a relaxing vacation and we definitely will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Riverside Escape! Far enough out in the country for some peace and quiet but close enough to all the places we intended to visit! We have family in Franklin and Bowling Green, we also visited Mammoth Caves and drove down to Nashville for a day - lots to from any where from 10 mins to an hour away from here! We were mostly only here later in the evenings but the house had everything we needed and it was nice to have a place to come home to after our busy days out. The view of the Barren River out back was beautiful, the beds were super comfortable and tons of pillows! And the host, Kim, was very nice and had great communication! We would love to stay here again when we come for another visit sometime!

We enjoyed a family vacation with four adults and four kids aged 6-9. Pros- clean beautiful home and property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, and the swings around the fire pit. The house was private and spacious. Everyone loved the game room. It was about a 30 min drive to mammoth caves, which we went to most days to see caves and hike. After our outings we enjoyed a lot of time at the house playing board games and hot tubbing. Cons- my husband had to do some figuring out to get the hot tub to heat properly the first night. The outdoor furniture was a little lacking, it would have been nice to have a patio table for dining/playing games. Considerations- not exactly pros or cons but things I would want to know ahead of time- the area is very rural, which was peaceful and what we were looking for, but a drive to a lot of attractions. The house is on a large hill that I wouldn’t like for toddler aged kids. There isn’t really lake access at the house, but this wasn’t an issue for us.

Sara was extremely responsive before and during our visit. We were able to check in early and were able to make the most of our stay despite unexpected bad weather. Our favorite amenity was the S’mores kit Sara left. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to make dinner in and we had a great time playing the board games and puzzles in the house while listening to the record player.

The house has a spectacular view of the Barren River Lake! It was perfect for our whole family including the granddaughters! Since we had so much terrible weather, we were thankful for the hot tub and fun game room. We enjoyed our annual family vacation at the CozyCabin. Thank you Jean & Wayne

This place was perfect! It’s a short drive to local attractions but peaceful. We even had turkeys in the yard when we arrived :). The hot tub and fire pit were great amenities too. We felt right at home and Julia was super responsive and kind. We will definitely be back!

Katie was a great host! We had an awesome time here. She was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and proactively gave me information that was super helpful. Would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Neily’s for our annual family trip. The house was beautiful, clean and perfect for our family gathering with a great view of the lake. We had lots of room for four families with comfortable beds, furniture and clean bathrooms. The bunk beds worked perfect for our 6 young grandkids and they enjoyed the game room. The location was great for our trip to Mammoth Cave and other trails. We would definitely recommend and if returning to the area stay here again. Neily was also quick to respond to any questions.

30 minutes from the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. Overall, great location. We loved soaking in the hot tub after hiking in the park. Really nice place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay when visiting Mammoth National Park.

The Captain's Lodge far exceeded our expectations for comfort and quality. We were excited for our stay based on the photos and description, but I feel they didn't do the place enough justice! This is a perfect spot for family or friendly get-togethers with plenty of hang-out space on both interior levels as well as outside, an extra large dining table, and a well-stocked kitchen with upgraded appliances. There were plenty of games and activities for people of all ages to enjoy and the small surrounding neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was very well-maintained and was incredibly clean. We can't wait to come back for our next stay!

We had a fantastic time at the cabin! It was clean and well-maintained, with a spacious kitchen perfect for larger families. We had so much fun playing games, enjoying the saloon, and singing on our karaoke night. The hot tub and porch were perfect for relaxing. We had a minor issue with the Blackstone, but the owners were incredibly responsive and had it fixed right away. Highly recommend this place for a great getaway!

Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing in the swing with morning coffee! There is a very nice charcoal grill with the charcoal and grilling utensils provided! The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were super comfortable and the bedrooms even had small fans for personal use.

Great place to stay! Follow the written driving directions.. not the gps.. as stated in said driving directions lol!

Had a wonderful stay and would be happy to stay here again. We loved the location! It’s so quiet and peaceful and we loved hearing the neighbors animals. Plus it’s not far away from the highway and about half way between Bowling Green and Mammoth Cave. The only challenge we had was initially getting there our gps had the location tagged before we actually got to the house. The address number was on the fence for the house but it was a bit hard to see and we missed it.

Had a wonderful stay. Jeryn was responsive and helpful. Great communication. Instructions were clear. Home itself is lovely and furnished to make you feel right at home. Shared spaces (living room, deck) made hanging out easy. Beds were very comfortable. Location is beautiful and peaceful. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for lodging in the Bolwing Green area.

Our family and pets throughly enjoyed staying at this home. Really great choice if you want to be close to nature. Beautiful home with great layout.
