Enjoy the lovely setting of this small beautifully renovated railway carriage. Set in a quiet location just outside the City of Colchester & close to the towns of Manningtree & Dedham. With an enclosed garden & lovely views out across the fields it’s the perfect place to relax & unwind whilst the log burner keeps you toasty warm. You will also have sole use of the Pergola. We have a beautiful antique fire pit for you to use. We supply enough wood for a couple of hours. Extra can be bought.

Woodpeckers is a private annexe attached to our house with its own entrance and private patio area with charcoal bbq. We have a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, fridge with small freezer, kettle, microwave. Tea and coffee are provided. Smart 40 inch TV in lounge with comfortable sofa/sofa bed if required. Bedroom has a kingsize ziplink bed which can be made into 2 singles if required. In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.

We are offering a comfortable modern guest suite in the riverside town of Wivenhoe. The room is a guest suite on the ground floor in our family home and you will have complete privacy. The room has its own en suite shower room and one double bed. There is a small kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a small fridge, sink, toaster & single induction hob. There is a smartTV as well as WiFi.

Rowhedge is a pretty riverside village, just 15 minutes drive from Colchester and Essex University and 40 minutes from Harwich. Woodbine House is located on a quiet street, with access to a large recreation ground and children's play park. There are plenty of lovely walks close by through the woods or alongside the River Colne or Roman River. The riverfront is a short walk down the hill.
