Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. This little oasis is positioned on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide expanse of valley, tucked away from everything but yet a 5min drive from Westport Town. A wood-fired hot tub sits on the spacious deck, overlooking the valley. After bathing in the hot tub make your way up the external staircase to the balcony (which connects to the bedroom), where you can relax in the hammock and take in the amazing views.

We strive to make our guests have a memorable vacation in our luxury and well equipped two bedroom apartment, both beds are King size 150cm x 200cm and extremely comfortable. The apartment is in a quiet location, and on our land we have about 20 sheep & lambs from April on. Shanakeever Farm offers the perfect base to reach all local attractions for eg: Kylemore Abbey & National Park and a 4 minute drive to Clifden town with Restaurants, Boutiques, Supermarkets and Pubs.
