We have some surprises for you at Gateway Cottage! We hope you'll come share them. It's the historic homeplace for a family of seven who lived here for 100 years. It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. From its uniquely designed suspension over top of a creek, lighted boardwalk path through the woods that ramps up to the cabin amongst the trees giving it a true tree-house feel, 3 spacious decks for lounging and enjoying nature and the sounds of the roaring creek beneath you, to luxurious amenities galore inside and out. All in a secluded, private setting minutes from town!

Glen Forest

Welcome to Glen Forest! Enjoy this private, terrace level apartment in a lovely, quiet park-like setting just minutes from Lynchburg. Relax at the fire pit in the Glen or your private patio. Feel right at home with full kitchen with dishwasher, access to W/D for week long stays, and several nearby restaurants/services, colleges and tourist sites: LC 9 miles, LU 11, RC 12, Poplar Forest-4, D-Day Memorial 20, Peaks of Otter- 24. Peaceful tiny house with amazing view of Sharp Top Mountain! Features: hot tub, outdoor dining area, small kitchenette amenities, and smart-tv w/firestick (must use your hotspot to stream). 10 min to BR Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Claytor Nature Center. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign). ***If booking in winter months, keep in mind the wind tends to be heavy, depending on weather.***

Mini Manor

Welcome to the Mini Manor where you are sweetly tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but minutes from restaurants and shops. Liberty University is about a 10 minute drive, and The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 30. You may even spot deer or neighborhood chickens in the yard. We have sought to equip our home to a high standard and to anticipate your needs by providing all the necessities. No pets, service animals, or assistant animals are permitted (this exemption is approved by AirBNB).

Black Water Junction Cabin

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Whispering Pines

Completely renovated home on a quiet country road. New kitchen, bathroom, and deck. Private backyard with deck, grill, outside table and gas fire pit. The house is easily accessible with a flat driveway and one step up from the sidewalk. One king and 2 XL twin beds with all bedding washed after each guest. Bedrooms have room darkening shades. 300 Mbps wifi and a smart TV in the living room. Check out the Airbnb next door (Maple Glen) if you are traveling with a larger group.

18th Century Cabin Retreat

Come enjoy our 18th century cabin! They don't make them like this anymore. One side built in 1750, the other in 1825. Sit under the giant white oak and enjoy the country air. This is a wonderful retreat to kick back and relax. Enjoy the pool, horseshoes, and fire pit. In the winter months, cozy up by the wood stove or fire place with gas logs. NO PETS!!! Please do not bring your pets. Owners live on site, so if you are in need of anything, please ask!
