Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt! Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war einfach traumhaft. Und die Pferde waren natürlich ein großes Highlight. Alle vor Ort waren extrem freundlich!

The location and views were breathtaking. Sadly the day we arrived we couldn't see the glacier or surrounding mountains due to cloudcover but when we were leaving, we saw just how beautiful the area was. The hot tub was a nice plus and the host was always responsive and super gracious about giving us an early check-in to accommodate our desire to drive earlier before the big snow and windstorm hit. The location was super close to many sites (crater, cliffs, hot springs) and also a great point to visit the Snaefellsnes Peninsula from. In our case, the winds of 40m/s combined with horizontal snow was too treacherous to make the drive in (and we couldn't see any of the sights due to no visibility) so we hung out in the hot tub and took it easy while a the cabin. There were board games that helped for the downtime!

Beautiful place, the host was super nice and responsive. She even notified us when the northern lights were out which was so nice! I got to watch the northern lights from the included hot tub and it was an incredible experience. This is an incredible place to stay at!

beautiful house in a perfect spot to explore both borgarnes area and snaefellsnes area. big automatic hot pot in the house, nice information from the owner to the surroundings and very clear info about the house itself also. second time we stay with heidrún, and it's been amazing just as the first time. we will come back to one of her houses soon.

A beautiful house with everything you need and wonderful surroundings. Snaefellsnes is the place to live if you want a nature experience and many places to drive to.

We booked the Grund Guesthouse as the first stop upon arrival in Iceland for an 8 day road-trip with a group of 8 friends. We booked the accomodation for two nights and we were very positively surprised; being with a group of 8, we had the whole house to ourselves! What we really enjoyed was the additional huge 'summer room' in the back of the building, which was perfect for breakfast and dinner with our group! Highly recommendable!

2 nuits au calme dans une petite maison de famille pleine de charme. Seul le bruit des moutons vient rompre le silence. La maison de Sigriður est chargée de souvenirs de familles, photos, objets désuets, déco vintage et c’est ce qui la rend si cosy. Déconnexion assurée Attention pour les personnes désireuses de modernité il n’y a pas de wifi, pas de lave vaisselle, pas de Micro-ondes, pas de Télé. Tout est simple mais propre. La vue du séjour est incroyable Bref un joli point de chute pour rayonner dans la péninsule qui finit notre roadtrip islandais en beauté !

This place is nestled in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, making it a perfect retreat. The on-site restaurant is open until 10 PM, and the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also excellent. After a long day of hiking and driving, the outdoor bath and sauna were a big plus. The rooms, kitchen, and bedroom were spotless and clean, contributing to a very comfortable stay

We stayed in Kjartans appartment for 2N in March with our child….very proximate location to visit the peninsula…backyard was good for kids to play and see Icelandic horses.. we were lucky to witness the northern lights from the unit..overall would recommend for small family
