Perfect stay for my 2 daughters and I. The stunning million dollar view of the hokianga was easily enjoyed from the deck equipped with outdoor chairs and table. An easy and picturesque walk to 4 square, cafe, fish & chip shop and tavern. Richard is a lovely host. I highly recommend his place for a no fuss, good bang for buck stay.

The apartment is in a great location with excellent views and in a peaceful location. It is well stocked with all the essentials for a long or short stay. Mark was able to give excellent recommendations for a day trip north and for local beaches. We stayed with our family and would highly recommend. It was lovely listening to the ocean and seeing the ever changing scenery. Local shop is 10min walk just along the beach and carries bread and milk, the essential ice cream, great food and takeaways and some great locally produced items.

Beautiful location overlooking Doubtless Bay. Expansive water views. Back from the road so almost no noise. Slept with the windows open to the crashing of the waves. The unit we booked was a one bedroom. Plenty of space. Good kitchen. Ate breakfast on the balcony. Highly recommend this place. The stock photo on the listing does not do justice to how great this place is. This place is actually a number of units so they will assign you one of the units so perhaps that is why there is just a stock photo.

Conveniently positioned to enable 4 golf courses to be played with easy distance. Great TV with Sky can watch from the comfort of the bed if required. Very spacious bathroom and comfortable bed.

This was a lovely spot to unwind and relax. The beach is just steps away from the rental. There are nice hiking trails close by with quick access to Russell and all of its attractions. Clive was a great host with recommendations for boat tours and restaurants that we enjoyed. Thanks so much 😊

Great beachfront house. Very nice and tidy. Would be nice if bath mats are provided. so it not slippery after shower's. we are very happy with the stay. If I have to visit up north would definitely love to stay again.

We could not recommend Katharine’s place enough! It is one of the best airbnbs we have stayed at. We were absolutely stunned by the breathtaking views of Matauri Bay - that you can see from nearly every angle of the home. The home is beautifully furnished inside and out and has everything you need and more. The peace, quiet and privacy of the home make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed the ease of access to the beach and the well thought out features of the home such as the outdoor shower. Katharine was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

The place is great - views just like the photos, great setup and everything you need and walkable to shops and beach. Marsala is a fab host, very responsive and left bacon, eggs, bread and wine for out stay - was a lovely touch. I would definitely stay again if I’m up North.

The cottage has a gorgeous view - such a treat to wake up to it every morning. Really spacious and ideal for a couple. Short drive away from some amazing beaches. Thank you, Kathy!

What a find! The beds were soooo comfy and Lindsay had left us plenty of towels for the incredible bathrooms/ showers ! 3 things to note, that we didn’t have an issue with. The bedrooms have no doors, that’s are situated at either end of the cabin with the large living space in between. There are no curtains/ blinds throughout the building, However the back of the cabin faces a wooded area, it is lovely waking up to see rabbits playing!! The other thing is there is no air in the living area, again no issue. If you open the patio doors there’s a nice breeze, both bedrooms have ceiling fans. Lindsay was very responsive and gave some ideas of local (ish) places to visit, they were amazing! He also left us a voucher as way of a thankyou for understanding why the garden was not completed (again did not impact in any way)! One last thing… in the darkness of the night the floor through out the cabin lights up like the stars in the sky… just amazing!! Local store/ bar 10mins away in car.

Fantastic accomodation! This place is so lovely. Very homely and cosy. Loved the bedrooms and the communal spaces. So close to the beach - There are Kiwi in the bush across the road, which we even got to see one night ! Liz was so hospitable - thank you. Oh, and an amazing shower ! You’ll see what I mean once you get there.
