The host was really gracious and was always there to help right from the time of the boat landing to the time of departure. He was very helpful throughout the stay and very friendly. great time at the stay. will visit again.

I felt that our stay at Simna’s place would be great even before leaving our home. I didn’t communicate with Simna but her husband Shabyr contacted me before we departed to ensure we had everything arranged before getting to the Maldives. We arrived early on a Friday morning and Shabyrs man was at the airport to greet us. He collected our baggage, bought us ferry tickets to Male and got us onto the ferry. Due to the season (it was Ramadan) our early morning speedboat to the island was cancelled. The next one was late in the afternoon. Shabyr arranged 2 rooms in Male for us to rest while waiting for the next speedboat and had his staff look after us while we waited. Once we arrived at Bodufolhudhoo Islsnd, Shabyrs staff met us again and took us to the hotel. The hotel itself is simple, pretty and clean with everything required for a comfortable stay. It’s in the centre of the village so there is ample opportunity to mix with the locals. Monil was our chef and coffee master, Kawser was our housekeeper and Mohamed was our tour guide. These 3 men were absolutely awesome - friendly and always willing to help. The island itself is not large - it can be walked around in about 10mins but it has a great private bikini beach, 2-3 inexpensive restaurants to choose from, convenience stores that sell snacks, drinks and personal hygiene prices if you require that. The reefs around the island are amazing and filled with sea life. I would recommend asking Shabyr about the daily meal package. That worked out very well as there was no need to worry about drinks and food - we just told Monil what we felt like eating and he would cook it fresh. I would highly recommend seeing the Maldives this way. It was inexpensive and we got the chance to meet and learn about local life and people. Shabyr and his team get a high 5 👍🏻

We had a wonderful stay here! This is a cosy hotel situated in a quiet location close to the bikini beach (the best I’ve seen so far in Maldives). The room was sparkling clean and there is good internet. What made it really special was the kindness of the owner Mr Ali and the managers Ibrahim and Mohamed. They were really nice and Ibrahim took us on a tour of the island on the first day. Then we could enjoy the underwater wonders of the islands thanks to Mohamed who shared his passion for the sea with us, and even gave us a very nice video. We always felt very well taken care in this hotel, and I really recommend it for anyone who wants a true Maldivian experience. Thank you so much Mr Ali, Ibrahim and Mohamed! All the best to you! We had a wonderful stay at Surf retreat. The room was spacious and sparkling clean, there was good internet, hot water and a tasty breakfast. Bikini beach is just 2mn walk from the guest house, and it is a great place to enjoy the cristal clear water or do some snorkeling along a beautiful reef full of fish. What made our stay special was the kindness and generosity of our host Abdullah and the manager Monir. Thanks to them, we could really enjoy a true Maldivian experience: we went to a local party, went to an incredibly beautiful picnic island, had fish barbecue... This place really felt like home and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Thank you again Monir and Abdullah, it was such a pleasure to meet you and we will come back for sure.

Abdulla a été un hôte d’exception. Il nous a très bien accueilli. Là chambre était parfaite pour notre famille de 5. Le petit déjeuner était bon, la chambre est nettoyée tous les jours et les serviettes changées aussi. Nous avons réservé des excursions avec Abdulla avec des prix très raisonnables par rapport à la concurrence! Une plage à 2 pas et l’autre à 5 min vous pouvez voir des requins dans les deux et nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer deux majestueuses raies manta au niveau de la 2ème plage. Et nous repartons avec plein de jolis souvenirs! Merci Abdulla ainsi que le personne adorable.

Owner of the place was very wand helpful with all needs and gave all the information needed. He waited us at port when boat arrived then collected our luggage and took us to his property. At the entrance we had refreshments and showed us all around. I had a good feeling about the owner and the place itself! Thank you for the hospitality and the stay.
