What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Spacious accommodation with nice views. We were given clear instructions and met on arrival. The fireplace Waa an added bonus. Not far from the Spa Valley railway and other attractions. Recommend for a weekend away or even a longer stay.

Excellent hosts. Very friendly, warm check in and took us around the property to show us everything about it. Full of helpful and local information and recommendations which was great as we didn't know the area at all. Loved how private, quiet and secluded it was but not far to get to a wide range of tourist attractions and things to do.

Jenny & Lisa both responded really quickly to messages and proactively sent really useful extra info on how to get there so we arrived stress free! Lovely barn conversion in beautiful countryside. Very clean & tidy throughout & as described. Perfect base for us to explore nearby attractions. Excellent local & wider recommendations in the info book with OS Map for walks if needed. Already recommended ‘The Old Barn’ to a friend! Thank you 😊

My family and I had a great stay at Martin’s house. Martin’s neighbour let us in and was very welcoming. And it was absolutely spotless, with had thoughtful touches like extra towels for the hot-tub and milk in the fridge. We enjoyed going to the nearby Roman ruins, the beach and wildlife park. The house is not baby-proof, so you’ll have to spend some time moving delicate items if you have small children.

We had a lovely stay at this Airbnb. It’s in a beautiful and secluded area. The garden was secure for our dogs and had a lovely view from the garden. It had everything we needed and not far from some lovely walks / attractions. Gemma was also very helpful.

Our family enjoyed a three night stay and there was so much to do and see. The accommodation was excellent with very high standards. Our host was very welcoming. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Hilary.

We had the most wonderful stay at Alice and Alan's cozy cowshed! The space was incredibly warm and inviting, providing a perfect retreat for both of us. Alice and Alan were exceptional hosts, always available to offer assistance and making sure we had everything we needed. They even allowed us to use their beautiful garden, which was such a lovely bonus. One of the highlights was when Alice and Alan kindly offered to drop us into town, saving us the hassle of getting a taxi. They also gave us great recommendations for cabs to get home later on. The stay was extremely nice, and we absolutely loved every moment. We would 100% go back and highly recommend this wonderful spot to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing getaway!

My 5 year old daughter and I spent a night here and it was absolutely blissful. She woke up and immediately wanted to see the lambs and spend time with a dog wandering around. We will be back as both she and I enjoyed it so much. Charlotte was so kind and even gave me some toothpaste I'd forgotten. Book if you can!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was pristine and homely with everything we could need. Sarah and Mark have clearly put a lot of thought into the layout and furnishings etc so it's easy to settle in right away. The secure garden was perfect for our dog while enjoying the views, and the location was great for exploring the area - quiet enough but within easy reach of local amenities attractions. Our children were even able to visit the sheep and collect some eggs from the chickens for themselves (and were most impressed with a huge double-yolker!!) :) Thank you both for a wonderful stay and we hope to return in the future.

The Old Stable was absolutely perfect inside with everything you could possibly need and more. Beautifully clean, comfy and homely. The view from the bedroom was so lovely to wake up to and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Personal touches like eggs from Jane’s chickens and a bottle of complementary fizz were a really lovely touch. Outside in the very large patio area there were numerous seating areas around the pool and jacuzzi. The BBQ, pizza oven, chiminea and outdoor lighting meant that you could have a lovely meal and relax and unwind under the stars. A great place to relax and have a peaceful home away from home!! A very warm and friendly Jane was always on hand to answer any questions or queries. Thank you!!

The property was perfect. Exactly what we expected and it absolutely suited our needs. Melanie was a most attentive and kind host who made sure we were comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for her to make our visit enjoyable. This is a wonderful area of Kent to visit and we look forward to returning both to Tonbridge and Weald Lodge.

We had a perfect weekend stay whilst attending a wedding at Cliffe Church and Cooling Castle. The accommodation was a 5 minute walk to the church and 5 minute drive to Cooling Castle, which was extremely convenient with two small children. The accommodation was beautiful, surprisingly spacious and clean. The parking facilities were great and the accommodation was very easy to find. We would definitely stay again when visiting the local area. Thanks Gabrielle 😊

We had an amazing couple of nights celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. Lovely dip in the pool as we were blessed with the weather on the first day. BBQ both evenings and got the fire pit going at night. We explored the grounds and made friends with the dogs and chickens! We ventured out to a local traditional pub called the halfway house which has a great beer garden and reachable on foot in 30 mins. Toby and Kate are fantastic hosts and kindly provided eggs from the coop, sour dough bread and some delicious flapjacks! Toby was also very helpful assisting us with transport from a local train station. If they have the availability, do not hesitate to book!

Can’t fault Richard for his hospitality, we had a girls weekend here and the place was beautiful and he such a lovely host. Honestly couldn’t fault it!

A wonderful place. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable. Spa facilities were a great way to relax at the end of a day exploring, or a great start to the morning. The kitchen had everything that was needed. The gardens were beautiful. We had a lovely sea view from the balcony, the sunrise was spectacular. Many thanks Chris for a peaceful stay, just what we needed.

We had a couple of problems with our reservations and payment but Ann was super helpful and flexible and we managed to book the cottage in the end. We arrived quite late which wasn’t a problem and the house was easy to find. We had a great stay and can’t say anything negative, really. Very nice recommendations for activities and Ann and Bob were very welcoming! The kids loved the garden and the animals. Thank you for everything! If we are going to be in the area in the future we will stay again.

The Granary is beautiful romantic place to stay. It was very cosy and Cecilia had thought of everything we might need. She has great attention to detail. Everything was excellent quality and Cecilia was a superb host. We would recommend it to anybody. We shall definitely return.

This is a lovely place to stay. The cabin is clean, well equipped and spacious. We all enjoyed relaxing by the wood fire. Communication with Sarissa and check-in was straightforward. We appreciated the folder full of information about the local area and things to do/places to eat.

We had such a peaceful and restful time at the Waggoners. And even more importantly, so did our anxious dog. She immediately settled in and spent all of her time relaxing on the grass watching TV (the sheep, pheasants and occasionally deer!). We stay in 4/5 places like this a year, and by far this was the fastest place she settled. We came via public transport, easy to get to either via taxi (lots of dog friendly ones in Rye) or by bus from Rye. Rye is a fabulously dog friendly town, and it's also easy to get to Camber Sands. Other dog notes: Bridget was proactive letting us know there are sheep just out front (electric fence in between) and there was occasionally a tractor driving past to get to the next field. This wasn't a problem as you could hear them coming with plenty of time, but just to be mindful of when the dogs are outside. We had everything we needed and could really just switch off which is exactly why we came. Absolutely loved it and will be back!

Staying at Forstal Farm was amazing. Lulu was a brilliant host, and I would definitely recommend staying at Lulu’s cottage. The cottage was lovely with really peaceful surroundings. I stayed for two nights, the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding. When Lulu realised she gave us a bottle of champagne which was a lovely touch. Lulu introduced herself when we arrived and came to say goodbye when we left. The cottage had everything as described, including the essentials all available when we arrived (tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc). I would highly recommend Forstal Farm for a lovely countryside stay. We didn’t explore the area but there were lots of recommendations within the folder provided.

An absolutely AMAZING stay at Americas Hobbit House, it was truly perfect! I booked a long weekend for my partners birthday, he loves Lord of the Rings and was truly amazed! America was so incredibly warm and friendly (as was her GORGEOUS doggy Lora who visited us and gave us lots of snuggles!). We loved the house, the hot tub, the surroundings are so peaceful and such a treat to be able to walk to Bodiam Castle. We were honestly gutted to be leaving and can’t recommend this beautiful Hobbit House enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay! X
