My family and I had a great Easter weekend at this house. It was quiet and very peaceful.

Absolutely beautiful home and location. Host was very responsive, helpful, and attentive during our stay. We definitely would love to come back during the warmer months to fish and hike. The local butcher had delicious steaks that we cooked on the grille, got live bait from the gas station down the road, and the Mexican restaurant in town was absolutely delicious. Wonderful experience and stay for the new year. The fires and smores by the river were our kid’s favorite thing to do.

My nieces and I had such a relaxing time at Julie's house! The place was super comfy and welcoming—perfect for lounging around and spending quality time together. Everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up, which made it really easy to feel at home. The location was great, we were able to find a local pizza place, diner and even a tea room. We will definitely be back!

Mary is an absolute wonderful host! Her space is full of everything you could want/need for an overnight stay! Mary communicated wonderfully and clear. The space was easy to find, with the clear directions and was in a peaceful area. For our little family of 3, traveling through on our spring vacation, Mary's space was perfect for us and the price point was a big part of that too! If you are debating on booking, you absolutely should!

Made a quick trip to the area to visit family and enjoyed staying here. There was lots of space for us and our dog. Kimberly was accommodating with an earlier check in and had thoughtful details throughout.

What a cozy, beautiful place! We felt right at home here and didn’t want to leave. We loved being greeted by the chickens and having them escort us to our car 😆 We also loved enjoying our morning coffee on the deck in the rocking chairs. The bed was so comfortable, the bathtub was great for a nice soak on a cold, wet night, and the water pressure was great too. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent host. Very clean place, beautiful property. Laura was amazing. It was like staying with a good friend. We bought some of her eggs and delicious honey. We would definitely stay there again. My wife and I and our fur babies will miss Laura, Jerald, and Dasher.

Everything was great the 3rd room is s loft. It was everything that we needed when we stayed working on a project at Shenandoah University. Everything is a five to ten minute drive. Space was clean and cozy. The back deck was a cool chill out area.

Cabin was as advertised- right on the river and I didn't realize there was a small grocery store/butcher about 10 minutes away- came in handy when I forgot to pack my dinner! As a football fan, I was happy to see the Wifi was great- no issues streaming.

The team was helpful and responsive. There was an issue with the charcoal grill grates but we were pleased that after communicating it to them they had the issue fixed in an hour by bringing new grill grates for us to use. We loved using their fire table on the back porch. Super easy to turn on and has a nice view of a stream in the backyard. One thing that we weren’t pleased with was the couch in the living room. We tried watching a movie there and found it to be uncomfortable and small. But that is just one small nitpick. Overall, we had a great stay!

This cabin is so beautiful and peaceful - it is more amazing than the photos! Hannah was extremely responsive and helpful, and the cabin was squeaky clean. We enjoyed walking to the marsh right across the street and exploring the beautiful property. The cabin has neighbors nearby but still feels very remote and private. We had a wonderful time!

A lovely cabin adjoining a forest, with a lot of character and old-world charm. Our hosts, Katherine and Gabriel, were very responsive and considerate. They had a nice selection of magazines at the cabin telling us more about the state, like the incredible works of Taylor and Reinhard. Driving to this cabin in West Virginia, we were reminded of the iconic John Denver song, "Take Me Home, Country Roads", which we played repeatedly!

This was one of the most comfortable, clean stays I’ve had. Pictures don’t do it justice! The hosts have a well stocked cabin. Everything was comfortable, from the rugs to the linens. The space was bright,airy, and well decorated . It was great for a restful weekend with a toddler. The woods were so great for easy walks and playing in the little stream with our kiddo. It was very quiet, we heard nothing but the winds and animals. Checking and out were easy. Thank you hosts! We hope to come back soon!

We loved our stay! The house was perfectly located with easy access to Star Tannery, Wardensville and Strasburg. We had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing weekend! It was well stock with all the little extras you need, including the kitchen, flashlights, matches, umbrellas, etc. We loved roasting s’mores by the fire and relaxing in the hot tub. My kids loved the loft so much! And it was a 3 minute drive to the amazing Eagle Rock hike. Thank you!!

The cabin was great, it is very secluded. The place was just as listed online. The cabin had everything you could want, and we even used the wood stove without any problems. The only thing negative was there were a lot of stink bugs and lady bugs in the place, we killed about a dozen or so. I would stay there again. Thanks for a great visit.

We had an outstanding week-long stay! The cabin is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for cozy settings inside and outside. There’s a nice walking trail that takes you down to the run where we watched deer come to drink at dusk. In the master bathroom, the dual rainfall shower heads are immaculate and have great pressure when both are running. Tom had great local recommendations when we wanted to go out, and the kitchen had all of the supplies we needed for staying in. We would love to spend another week here in the future!
