Wool Hut, is a beautiful, traditional Shepherd's Hut, located in the middle of nowhere but close to everywhere! Situated on our working farm on the edge of the village of Thixendale, the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, surrounded by stunning landscapes in a peaceful, rural setting. Visit the wonderful market town of Malton, or historic York as well as some beautiful country houses, or simply rest and relax. There is an abundance of food producers and restaurants in the locality for you to explore.

This unique cottage has stunning 180 degree uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside. It also has free off street parking and a patio for alfresco dining. Two miles from Malton, this little gem is a great base to explore the beautiful local area a short drive from the historic city of York and the coast.

Sleeping up to 5 adults in 3 bedrooms this cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, underfloor heating, log burner. Patio looking over the fields and a garden shed for bike storage. Bathroom upstairs and a downstairs loo. There is a pub serving food in the village and a farm shop and cafe at Sledmere house which is a 5 min walk away.

With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. Please also note that the property has slipper baths - there are no showers or shower heads (see pictures) Private area with seating and a hot tub. We are in the countryside but only 2 miles from local amenities. Pocklington is 2 miles, The beautiful city of York is 12 miles, the coast is only an hours drive.
