Ken’s place is in Chinatown just inside the historic city walls and really central .Handy for football ground and pubs clubs in the City centre .Great host ,flexible check in and out reasonably priced too. The acid test for me is “ would I stay again ?” And the answer is YES!

Always clean when I stay here it will always be my first choice when I visit Newcastle! I would recommend to any especially for location, not far from Central station if you are travelling by train & good parking facilities if you drive

our room was decently clean and very comfortable. the staffs were very helpful and the check-in went smoothly...it was perfect for the 2weeks we stayed in...we would definitely stay here again

We stayed here when the family came up to Newcastle for my granddaughter’s christening. The house was great, with a warm atmosphere and was just a lovely place for us to be together. It’s very rural, quiet and pretty and the garden is just delightful. We really enjoyed our short stay.

Lodge was lovely. Very clean and lots of space. Particularly liked the hidden walk in dressing room in the main bedroom. Hot tub was nice and hot (40). Nice sized TV in lounge which could be rotated to suit. Enjoyed the little welcome pack - didnt last long! If you want to walk into Hexham (we did), its about 2 miles down a straight road. Plenty of taxi firms around if you dont fancy driving. Hexham is a great little town, with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. Overall we were really impressed with this lodge, we felt it was good value for money and would definitely return in future.

Was even better than the photos made it out to be. A few minor issues such as no curtains in the bedrooms but aside from that it was perfect. Great for big groups

Lovely room in a quiet part of Newcastle. Nice breakfast and very good public transport links into the city. Emma was a fantastic host

River View Cottage is in a peaceful setting, perfectly located for walking into the town, with beautiful riverside walks on your doorstep and the added bonus of parking outside the property. The cottage itself is tastefully furnished, very comfortable and well equipped with gorgeous river views from both the living areas and the bedrooms, the balcony is a real treat. This is a gem of a cottage and we would highly recommend it.

I recommend this particularly as it has a quiet remote location but only a few minutes drive from Hartlepool Town Centre
