Self-contained hideaway flat in the heart of Wells

The Hayloft is an independent, self-contained, two-person flat within a couple of minutes’ walk of the centre of England’s smallest city. The flat has its own front and rear entrances and secure off-street parking to the back of the house. The flat comprises a bright South-facing living/dining room with TV, and a separate, fully-equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a large shower. A spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine bedroom, with a double bed and ample cupboard and drawer space.

Close to Glastonbury and Street with fantastic walks and cycling in the area. It is open planned but Perfect for families as can sleep up to 3 children. Well behaved dogs considered max of 2 (pls check before booking your dogs will mix with ours!)

Clover Cottage is a peaceful retreat on the southern tip of Street, home to Clarks Village shopping outlet and Millfield School. The accommodation offers modern and child-friendly facilities in a private space with glorious Somerset countryside views. It’s set on a lane that’s popular with local dog walkers and joggers, and the Polden Way footpath is just up the hill. The Ham Wall National Nature Reserve and the historic centres of Glastonbury, Wells and Somerton are a short drive away.

The spacious bedroom has a king size bed and a small single bed, suitable for a child. Adjoining the bedroom, is the shower room with walk in shower. There is a large private patio area for relaxing and barbecuing outside, with views of the hillside. We have a vineyard producing English Sparkling and Still Wines, made on site.

Relax on the patio, catch a view of the Red Kite soaring high, or visit the sheep, ponies, goats, ducks and chickens in the surrounding field. Get active on the many footpaths leading from our property, gently cycle the Somerset levels or try the more challenging rides on the Mendip Hills. Active or relaxing - we guarantee you will enjoy the view from our Lodge at the end of your day.
