A full kitchen, a very large living dining kitchen area, a private patio, a gas log fireplace, huge TVs, and a jaw-dropping view of WCU and Cullowhee NC and yes a killer hot tub to soak in the view. This cabin-like home is nestled on a hill beside a 250 foot waterfall. As the water cascades to the bottom it turns into a creek that wraps around the property. The waterfall and can be enjoyed from almost every room. The elevation is at 3800 ft providing perfect temperatures for most of the summer, hence, no air conditioning. There is a fully stocked, renovated kitchen and washer/dryer upstairs. The house is located 15 minutes from Cashiers which has restaurants and groceries.

Our charming and private cottage is perfect for your Blue Ridge retreat! This 1950s cabin has been fully updated but retains its quaint midcentury mountain charm. Minutes from the amenities of Cashiers, Highlands, and Lake Glenville, you'll be treated to lake and mountain views, a spacious front porch, a backyard fire pit, a vintage wood-burning stove, and a cozy bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with all the utensils you'll need to prepare meals as well as coffee appliances.

This cabin is close to Western Carolina University ( about 4 miles), Cullowhee, Sylva and Cashiers, NC. You’ll love this home because of the views, the coziness, woodburning fireplace, firepit, convenience and unique decorations ( I call it the museum in honor of my grandparents). In addition to two bedrooms, there are bunk beds in the loft for the kids. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Welcome to Lazy Moss Cabin in Western North Carolina, you can see more if you go to You Tube and search for the name Lazy Moss cabin. Situated among the lush mountain laurel, native rhododendron and moss covered yard at a cool elevation of 3500 feet. We area a pet friendly rental with a limit of 2 pets per visit but NO pet fee because we have found that pet owners are very considerate of our cute cabin so thank you and enjoy your stay.
