Very enjoyable stay in a gorgeous picture postcard setting of a street! Nice, quiet, residential neighbourhood. Perfect for those who don’t want the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam but want an easy commute in. VERY accurate distances given by Hanneke! Easy and pleasant 20 minute cycle to a free ferry that gets you right in! Couldn’t have had a better stay!! Perfect for quiet younger groups, families and capable cyclists :) Heads up for Amsterdam goers, cycle lanes can be super busy and a little scary! So the more experience cycling, the better!!

I stayed for a month, and the apartment was great. It was so lovely to sit at the open windows overlooking the canal, the bed was very comfortable, I had everything I needed, and it's a short bike ride to anywhere. The tour of the upstairs was fascinating! Good to know: Part of the beauty of this place is that it's near the center, in the old section. That means there are canals everywhere, it has tons of character and history, and it's easy to get anywhere on foot or by bike. It also means that it is near a touristy area. Don't let that stop you! I don't like the hordes of tourists at all, but I was happy here. I simply rode a few blocks away at the busiest times to escape. And Herengracht itself in front of the building isn't crowded. Sure, canal tour boats glide by, but they're fun to watch. The couch is comfy, the chairs are less so, but two people can enjoy the couch. The kitchen is a little bit worn, but it was clean and served my purposes (I did not cook). I would return!

Nous avons séjournés 4 jours dans la maison de Bart et Hanneke. Nous avons adoré les lieux, la maison est parfaite pour se poser en toute tranquillité tout en restant proche d'Amsterdam et de l'aéroport. Je recommande pour les gens qui veulent profiter d'Amsterdam et de ses alentours la journée et se poser dans une belle maison confortable le soir !

Un très agréable voyage à Amsterdam pour notre famille et notamment grâce à une très agréable et paisible maison de charme, bien pensé pour les familles. Le quartier est calme et sécurisé, les enfants jouent devant les maisons dans la rue avec très peu de passages de véhicules du côté jardin. Le jardin justement permet de manger et jouer à l'extérieur, le grand salon permet de se retrouver dans un coin plus cosy, les chambres sont spacieuses et pleine de vie. La salle de bain avec douche et baignoire est un plus !! La maison est à moins de 10 minutes à pieds (avec poussette) du métro en passant par la voie piétonne bordant les canaux, les transports en communs sont un plaisir de part la propreté et l'accessibilité ! L'hôte, Winston, nous à donné des indications très claires pour l'accès au logement et pour notre installation. Il est disponible très rapidement et répond à toutes nos questions. Merci Winston et sa famille !!! je recommande vivement ce logement !

Absolutely loved our stay at Jef & Mette's house, can't recommend it highly enough. The house is so cool, it has great character and feels like it's 'not just an ordinary house'. It's a very quiet residential neighborhood and felt safe, and there are supermarkets about 200m away. The tram stop for the city centre is about 200m in the other direction, so this is a great base for easy living and exploring Amsterdam. Jef and Mette were great hosts, very communicative, and they gave clear instructions for every part of our stay. We would happily go back, and would very much recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alina and Tony's home. We were traveling with our 14 month old so it was great to have a crib, high chair and toys for her to play with. The house was super spacious and comfortable and it was beautiful to stay next to the canal! Would definitely recommend staying here!

My friends and I had a lovely stay at Kati and Pepijn's house. The house was clean and comfortable. There was a nice garden (which sadly we didn't enjoy much because of the weather 😅) but we did really enjoy the fire place ! The living room is very cosy with lots of board games, everything ones needs to cook and eat a nice meal. The beds were extremely warm and comfortable. The house is a short walk to a mall with a bus station, so it's easy to do groceries and get to the city, the bus station or the airport. The hosts are very easy to reach and always answered all my questions very fast :) And last but not least, Vili the cat was a great roommate ! He is friendly and very social. We all had a lovely time, thanks again ☺️

Très belle demeure avec toutes les commodités à notre disposition. Transport en commun à quelques minutes de marches. Hôtes très disponibles pour répondre à nos questions et instructions fournies très claires. Je recommande fortement cet hébergement. Nous y avons passé une très belle semaine!

Our group of 4 enjoyed Mieke’s accommodations. We cooked in for breakfast and dinner; grocery store close and kitchen well stocked. Comfortable livingroom and beds. Nice to have 2 bathrooms. The garden space outside added a touch of hominess, along with her adorable cats; Willem especially entertained us! Location was great with trams to city center only a block away. Very responsive.

La maison de Jos et Elise est cosy et douillette, ils laissent plein de jeux a disposition, un grand parc et un lac sont juste a côté. Parfait pour une famille et pour se poser le soir en dehors du Centre ville. Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez eux!

The apartment is very well-located. Rosie was lovely to deal with: very responsive and gave us excellent suggestions. The steep winding staircases to access the apartment and the one inside the apartment are perhaps not suitable for the infirm or elderly. The apartment wasn't super pristine, and a few things were in disrepair. Kind of like if you stayed at a friend's lived-in place, rather than a sterile hotel. The cats are funny and want very much to be where they shouldn't. Good mousers.

Anouk is a perfect host, friendly and immediately responsive to a question we asked during our stay. It’s a wonderful house for a family with children— a large, open, attractive but unfussy space with its own garden and easy proximity to a market. We were 3 generations, but we grandparents had no problems, since we entered on the ground floor and climbed only one flight of stairs to the bedrooms. A happy time.

Dieta was the most wonderful host for our stay in Amsterdam. As a place none of us had visited we were apprehensive but Dieta made us feel right at home. Her house is beautiful with stunning art work and the most beautiful garden. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! You are right next to the tram stop which takes you into the centre of Amsterdam. We unfortunately lost our key on the second day (hole in bag!) and Dieta was so lovely and contacted the neighbour to help us straight away. It was so stressful but she put us at ease straight away. Thank you so much, we will be back!

Ein sehr schönes Haus einer echten Familie in perfektem Zustand. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Gastgeber waren verreist und haben sich sehr nett um unsere Anreise und den Aufenthalt gekümmert. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man vor allem als Familie braucht und wir waren sehr glücklich nach langen Tagen einen großzügigen ruhigen privaten Ort zu haben um ums zu erholen.

Charmante maison, fonctionnelle, proche des lignes de transports en commun. Quartier calme, commerces à proximité. Le chat est adorable et très câlin. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement, aussi pour la flexibilité des horaires d’arrivée et de départ.

Abbiamo trascorso alcuni giorni davvero piacevoli in questa casa. L’alloggio è esattamente come descritto: funzionale, pulitissimo, confortevole e curato nei minimi dettagli. Ideale per rilassarsi e sentirsi a casa. Un ringraziamento speciale agli host, gentilissimi e sempre disponibili, che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Consigliatissimo!

Nice unit in row housing, very quiet neighborhood. Plenty of space, and a well-appointed kitchen for cooking. Right off the canal, with a large playground, grocery store, and tram into central Amsterdam a short walk away. Was too cold for swimming but seems possible. Ivan was great at helping us get settled in. The description was a little vague on bedding, but there is a master bedroom with a large bed, and 2 smaller bedrooms upstairs, all sharing a bathroom. The one bedroom had a loft bed, and the other had an air mattress, which was fine for our 2 kids. This definitely lived in by Boris's family including younger kids, and rented part-time, so definitely "lived in", but also means there's lots of games and such. Some "interesting" possibly kid-inappropriate pictures, if they're paying attention! Overall a perfect place for a few days in Amsterdam!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Haarlem! The apartment was clean, cozy, and perfectly located near all the major attractions. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, always available to answer our questions and provide helpful recommendations. We felt very welcome and at home during our stay. The neighborhood was charming and peaceful, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. We only have positive emotions from our experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Haarlem. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Giulietta. La maison est dans un quartier résidentiel calme mais le centre ville d’Haarlem reste accessible à pieds. Nous avons profité de cette base pour découvrir la région et aller à Amsterdam en train depuis Haarlem. Le logement était agréable pour un séjour en famille avec un petit jardin clôturé et une aire de jeux pour enfants à côté. Giulietta a été très attentionnée et disponible. Elle nous a beaucoup aidés quand nous avons eu besoin de consulter un médecin. Merci encore !

Wir waren mit 3 Erwachsenen und 2 Kleinkindern dort. Schönes Haus und vor allem tolle Küche und kleinem Garten! Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und die Kinder haben sich über das Spielzeug sehr gefreut. Schöne ruhige Lage. Immer wieder gerne!

We had a family reunion in Haarlem, at Ilaria's lovely house. We enjoyed everything and were really at ease in the house. The flexible check-in and check-out helped a lot with our plans. Ilaria kindly took care of making us very comfortable. I definitely recommend this lovely house.

This was the perfect house for me and our three kids (17, 15, 13). The moment we walked in, we felt at home. It's a gorgeous house with so much character and history to it, beautifully decorated and with lots of space for all of us to hang out and sleep. The location is also fantastic: safe, pretty and you can walk/bike everywhere easily from there plus take a train from the nearby central station to get to yet other places. Nanja is a wonderful host, our communication was seamless. Thank you for letting us stay at your house!

He had a wonderful 5 days of stay, along with family. Wonderful experience. - the house was huuge and spacious. Big living, dining, full kitchen, service area and a toilet in the ground floor, 2 good sized bedrooms a bathroom/ toilet on the first and a huge 3rd bedroom in the 2nd floor - the house was Squeeky clean, well equipped, 5-mins from the nearest bus stop - all furnishings were comfortable. - we were able to travel to Amsterdam Central in 45 mins using 1 bus and a tram. - Bae was very friendly and very responsive Totally recommend and would definitely return during another visit to Amsterdam.
