Our group stayed at the respite, and absolutely adores this space and its complimentary elements. The creek outside was beautiful at night under the twinkling stars, and the records, VHS tapes, and homemade pottery added to our retreat. Calming, charming, and nurturing, the respite is surely a place worth coming back to!!

We had a wonderful stay. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. The place was extremely clean and cozy. We'll be back!

We booked this house last minute due to an issue with another house we rented. The owners were super responsive. Easy check-in. Had an issue with the main TV but they created a temporary fix for us right away. The house was great for a large family. Lots of rooms, great decor, and nice amenities. I love that there were spices and other non-perishables for us to use. Fire pit was wonderful. Hoping to stay again in the summer so that we can take advantage of the pool! Highly recommend. Renee

this place is awesome for fisherman looking to fish all the surrounding lakes then come back and fish the pond and hang out around the firepit with family and friends..the house and property are beautiful and comfortable

Jehu was extremely prompt in responding to all our questions and quick to show up when we encountered a minor issue with a sink drain. This gave us the pleasure of meeting him - so gracious, friendly and welcoming. He also provided many nice little touches like snacks, bottled water in every room, extra toothbrushes/toothpaste, milk, butter and even a few bottles of wine! Quiet, peaceful street within easy walking distance to town and a short drive to Food Lion and a great breakfast place. Very nice stay.

My family and I love this place. This was our second time booking. The scenery and privacy is amazing. Perfect location for us to stay close to family who live in the area. We will 100% be visiting again. Harriette makes everything simple for check-in and check-out. Highly recommended. Get the real feel of peace and tranquility in a cozy cabin while only being minutes from town. You will not be disappointed.

We had a great stay here! Although the traffic around was busier than we expected, it was still very peaceful and quiet inside the home. As we have been traveling quite a bit, it was nice to have a quiet place to just spread out and relax for a couple of days. It was very lovely!
