The HomePlace is a bright, spacious, attractive home in a restful setting, and an easy drive to downtown Oxford. It offers more amenities than any AirBnB in my experience (such as complimentary tea and coffee, night lights, ample closet space, variety of up-to-date appliances). It was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The host was great to work with, although I didn’t have any need to contact him since all of the instructions were clear, accurate and timely. The HomePlace is so attractive and comfortable that I sometimes had trouble getting motivated to go anywhere! Highly recommend.

Our group stayed at the respite, and absolutely adores this space and its complimentary elements. The creek outside was beautiful at night under the twinkling stars, and the records, VHS tapes, and homemade pottery added to our retreat. Calming, charming, and nurturing, the respite is surely a place worth coming back to!!

Jehu was extremely prompt in responding to all our questions and quick to show up when we encountered a minor issue with a sink drain. This gave us the pleasure of meeting him - so gracious, friendly and welcoming. He also provided many nice little touches like snacks, bottled water in every room, extra toothbrushes/toothpaste, milk, butter and even a few bottles of wine! Quiet, peaceful street within easy walking distance to town and a short drive to Food Lion and a great breakfast place. Very nice stay.

Lovely home that was perfect for a family holiday gathering. Very clean, well-stocked, and there was much to onsite with a hot tub, pool room, and basketball/tennis court.

My family and I love this place. This was our second time booking. The scenery and privacy is amazing. Perfect location for us to stay close to family who live in the area. We will 100% be visiting again. Harriette makes everything simple for check-in and check-out. Highly recommended. Get the real feel of peace and tranquility in a cozy cabin while only being minutes from town. You will not be disappointed.

I always love staying at Sandy’s AB&B. She is very friendly and welcoming. The bed is very comfortable with lots of pillows and soft sheets. She allowed me to put some food items in her fridge, which was very convenient! Will definitely stay here again!

McCray was such a warm and welcoming host! He was very responsive and attentive to us—always trying to make us feel comfortable and quick to give recommendations for his hometown and Raleigh. His home was also very charming, rustic, and spacious, with chickens in the backyard, a nice porch to relax on, and a fire pit perfect for making s’mores. If you’re looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle, I recommend checking out Franklinton and McCray’s home. The downtown area is walking distance away and growing with new small businesses worth exploring. ☺️

We had a great stay here! Although the traffic around was busier than we expected, it was still very peaceful and quiet inside the home. As we have been traveling quite a bit, it was nice to have a quiet place to just spread out and relax for a couple of days. It was very lovely!
