After being displaced from our home after damage from severe weather we were so fortunate to find this location. The house accommodated our family of 4 with pets for nearly a month without any issues. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms are well finished, bedrooms were comfortable and the location was very clean. The backyard is a beautiful and relatively private space hidden within a 15 minute walk to the downtown restaurants or the beach area. Anzhelika is an excellent host who was very responsive when needed, provided clear instructions and ample privacy. We would happily recommend this location to friends and family attending the area for events.

We loved staying here! There was SO much space, it felt very homey and cozy. The backyard was beautiful! This is an amazing home to stay in with tons and tons of room.

The cottage is so cozy and clean. The space had everything we needed for a weekend getaway with our dogs. The neighborhood is great and so close to the beach which would be a great perk in the summer.

Ballard Cabin was the perfect getaway! It has a warm, rustic hunting cabin vibe that made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The space is incredibly cozy, with a super comfy couch and a great collection of books to browse through. The kitchen was amazing—fully stocked with everything we needed to cook a gourmet meal. The location was also perfect: just minutes from town and a short drive to Arrowhead Provincial Park, where we spent the weekend skating. What a lovely place in the country. It is decorated like someone said “right out of a Pottery Barn” catalogue. Great layout to be cozy but also have enough space for a larger family. The home is well stocked for everything you need. TVs worked well and watching the hockey game while playing pool was a perfect evening for my husband and son. We will be back.

I enjoyed a peaceful 2 weeks at this beautiful Airbnb! The setting is surreal surrounded by nature and a river! I had everything I needed and I enjoyed a few nights with a cozy fire in the wood stove. The bed and couches were very comfortable. The No Frills in Shelburne was a great grocery store nearby. Wendy was always very responsive and helpful. As clearly noted in the description, there is no cell service but not a big deal as there is wifi. I hope to be back again one day! A true gem!

We had an unforgettable stay with Leslie and Ian . The view from the apartment was gorgeous in the snowy February weather . We felt deeply comfortable and protected from the elements inside. Equipped with Amazon Alexa , my fiancée and I got the opportunity to enjoy our books to peaceful music and set a soundtrack to our morning routines . In the winter months , as Leslie and Ian state in their ad , winter tires or all wheel drive are a must for the steep driveway . Before a big night planned at Tall Trees restaurant, my Nissan with all season tires got stuck in the snow on the driveway . Ian immediately came to our aid and assisted us with the many tools at his disposal , freeing us from the snowbank and saving our night . This kindness and hospitality will not be forgotten . An excellent stay !

Doreen and Derek were excellent hosts. They were warm, friendly and receptive. The place was clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen had all necessary amenities. The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful. We would like to visit the place again if the opportunity arises.

Anuhea was an amazing host. The place is as described, beautiful & cozy. Short waltz to downtown Peterborough. Did not have enough time in our quick visit to do the sauna, but what a bonus!!! We would stay a hundred times over & bigly recommend these wonderful people & their guest suite.

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The check-in instructions were very clear and easy to follow, making the whole process seamless. The space itself was incredibly comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight for me was the stunning view of the lake — it was so peaceful and beautiful. Additionally, the location was perfect, with a great proximity to downtown, so I was able to easily explore the area. I had a wonderful solo experience at Catherine's cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything I needed to cook simple delicious meals. BBQ for dinners and the frying pan was perfect for breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, which you can enjoy from the private dock or from the cabin. It was only a 15 minute drive away from beautiful hikes and the grocery store or butcher. Very grateful to have found this place and will definitely come back.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy cabin! This was our 4th time coming back, and it never disappoints. The snowshoe trails are fantastic, offering great adventures right outside the door. We especially enjoyed the outdoor winter fires – a perfect way to unwind after a day in the snow. The cabin itself is so warm and inviting, truly the ideal spot for a cozy winter getaway. Tammy and Donna are such wonderful hosts, always going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Andrew was such an amazing host! When we arrived at his cozy comfortable cabin, we were welcomed with a fire in the wood stove! It was a little chilly so having a fire started for us demonstrated Andrew’s kindness & thoughtfulness. There was firewood ready too, when we needed it. His cabin was exactly how we pictured it from the photos and description. Being there away from everyone and noise was heaven. The cabin has everything you would require! I was impressed with the fridge, stove and kettle- We are used to a bare cabin, so Andrew’s cabin is luxury. The outhouse was very clean! The beautiful creek had copious cold and clear water running and I loved boiling the water… that was a great experience. Andrew was also so kind in having some water ready for us so that we didn’t have to haul! Thank you Andrew!! He provided us lots of information about the history of his land and the cabin. We all loved walking on his property especially our doggies! We felt rejuvenated! We will be back!

“Hostess with the mostest” is an understatement for Sandra. When she says all you need to bring is your overnight bag and groceries, she means it! Her and Dejay are lovely people, offering an incredible getaway. The attention to detail and commitment to their guests is unmatched. 10/10 would recommend and return!

Had a wonderful stay, the cabin was absolutely perfect. Very cute, clean and well appointed. I will definitely be back. I strongly urge vacationers to try Honeys Diner, down the Rd, delicious breakfasts and the Woodview convenience store has all your last minute items that you may need, not to mention very yummy locally made cheesecake and butter tarts. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -Linda 🙌

We absolutely loved our night in the cabin. Simply stunning views and setting. Cassie was proactively helpful and communicative before we came. And getting to the cabin couldn’t have been easier. We’d love to stay again one day.
