Dorothy is a wonderful hostess, very attentive and accommodating. The rental house is cozy and has everything you need. There is plenty of space and access and parking is easy. Best of both worlds because there are plenty of restaurants and shops just 15 minutes away in Rocky Mount, the location is in a quiet country setting.

Our stay at Gail's place was amazing. It was perfect for our one night stay, and Gail was incredibly welcoming. It was so peaceful, and even nicer than the pictures. The farm store was adorable as well, and we enjoyed it a lot. Would definitely stay again!

Eduardo, We sincerely enjoyed your beautiful home. It was so peaceful, very relaxing and full of everything that anyone would need. The kitchen was fully stocked and we didn’t want for anything. We home cooked all of our meals and didn’t want to leave the house. The views of the lake are outstanding and so peaceful. Watching the morning steam rising off of the lake was mesmerizing and the sunrising were just as beautiful. Having a morning coffee on the porch watching the fish popping and rippling the water was just like a movie. We really enjoyed your beautifully decorated home. The beds were very comfortable and the ceiling fans made it great to sleep in. We will be back for Thanksgiving in less than a month!! As well as next June and we can’t wait to be back again. Perfectly cozy little lakeside cottage - beds are comfy, kitchen well stocked, but the large screened porch overlooking the lake is where you will want to live. Was a lovely Easter weekend getaway for our family of 4 adults & one 10 year old. The chickens next door were frequent friendly visitors but otherwise the neighborhood was very quiet & peaceful.

We had a great stay at the farm house. Our kids loved seeing the animals and helping with farm chores. It was a convenient location to the bird sanctuary and medoc mountain State Park.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The space was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect for visiting relatives in the Weldon/Roanoke Rapids area. What really made the experience stand out was the host. She was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. You can tell she really cares about making her guests feel at home. From the smooth check-in process to the little personal touches around the home, everything was spot-on. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay and a wonderful host. I’d definitely come back!

We only stayed one night at Laura’s home but it was a perfect stop after driving all day. There was space for everyone to spread out and my kids each had their own room. The neighborhood is quiet and it was close enough to get back onto 95 in a few minutes to keep driving to Florida. We would definitely stay again if we are driving through the area. Thanks Laura!

Very peaceful and easy to find. Stephen and his co host were quick responders when I had a question. And also told me where extra blankets were just in case we needed extra. I appreciate them especially because it was a last minute booking.
