Twenty minutes to RDU Airport, five minutes to Duke's East Campus and ten minutes to West Campus, we are an easy walk to a range of locally-owned restaurants. Lovely, light-filled apartment has a bedroom, full kitchen and living area, bathroom, private entrance, and patio with seating. Occasionally, we may have first-floor space available at extra cost. Experience the magical beauty and tranquility of Firefly Farm, a 26-acre flower farm nestled in the lush countryside near the historic town of Hillsborough, North Carolina. Immerse yourself in farm life. Stroll our paths and visit our farm animals. Take part in our seasonal delights: flowers bloom April to September, fireflies glitter at dusk during Summer while birds and butterflies delight during the day and Fall brings crisp air as the leaves change (as well as Witch Hazel's haunted barn)!

The Yurt at Frog Pond Farm

Our yurt (30' dia.) is rustic, beautiful, quiet, in deep woods with deck overlooking pond. Great for couples, small families (not childproof). Includes hot tub & Poetry Walk. Beds are futons. It's warm June-Aug. (no A/C, plenty fans), but way cooler than the city. It's cold Nov.-March (wood stove heat). Mini-fridge & microwave (no kitchen/plumbing). Parking and the bath-house are 2-min. walks (toilet, sink, shower). Two minutes to Saxapahaw. Read description for more info. NO PARTIES. No dogs.
