Beautifully crafted, heated by woodburner and offering enchanting views, this cosy shepherd's hut is away from everyone in its very own secluded wild paddock, only a mile from the village pub, shop and post office. We are also only a short walk from, Bournemouth University Campus, Westland Entertainment Centre and Abbey Manor Business Park, most of which can be reached via footpaths. A five minute drive will take you to the historic village of Montecute, leading onto the Chinnocks, Chiselborough and Norton Sub Hamdon, all of which are ideal for walking, cycling or simply a pub lunch.

The village has a grocery shop, butcher, restaurant, pub, children’s playground and lots of walking all close by. The cottage is the perfect retreat and base to visit all Somerset and Dorset has to offer. There are two double bedrooms offering accommodation for upto 4 guests. The cottage garden is the perfect spot for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine by the fire pit.

Clapper Hay Annex

The Annex provides a completely self contained accommodation with it's own entrance and external keybox, enabling independent access. Fully refurbished self catering accommodation in a conservation area on the edge of Merriott village. Ideal for vacationing, users of the National Cycle path (30) or business users. The property is not suitable for pets. An 'exterior only' CCTV camera is fitted to the main house, to maintain the security on the driveway approach to the Annex.
