It was a beautiful place. Lots of space and a peaceful place to sit and relax and enjoy the quiet area. Host were responsive and gave clear instructions on how to check in and out!

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to have a much needed R&R weekend trip, we did not leave the house all weekend except to go into the barn for some games of pool! The view was great and all around we enjoyed a peaceful setting! The hot tub was clean, and we really enjoyed the projector for watching some shows/movies!

Sharon’s place was perfect for a quick weekend getaway for ourselves and two college aged kids. It is spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. The Dutch Tub is a lot of work but worth every minute of it for night time star gazing. We will definitely be returning!

We loved our stay! Richard was a fantastic host, very responsive to our questions and had great local recommendations. We spent hours by the fireplace, and enjoying the screened in porches. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Wardensville is just 20 minutes away and has anything you might need to pick up. We enjoyed lunch at Mack’s and visiting the glassworks and markets. We can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful retreat. Take the road less traveled. We were looking for a half way point between Chartlotte NC and PA. Their retreat was perfect. Super clean and in a beautiful area of VA. Hot tub was so relaxing. Wishing we had more time to explore.

Rich & Brittany have a lovely tiny house in a beautiful area! Their place is cozy, clean and has all the creature comforts, plus a nice big hot tub on a nearly wrap around deck and a big yard with a fire pit, with plenty of firewood, courtesy of R & B. If you're wanting to drive up a long and winding road in the mountains of West Virginia, to a cozy tiny house, that's "just right"? Then, Goldilocks will be much pleased! The setting of the home was breathtaking!!! The mountain was beautiful and the open patio was perfect to see the moon and stars at night! We were thinking there was too little light on the patio when we arrived but we know now it’s intentional. The home was spacious and had everything we could have needed. Hot tub was amazing and we can’t wait to return to Lost City!!

I had a fantastic stay! Communication was smooth and prompt throughout the entire process, making check-in and everything else super easy. The space was spotless, cozy, and incredibly well-supplied with everything I needed. It really felt like a home away from home. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay! Let me know if you want it more casual or more professional!

Such a great location. Serene. Quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful. Wish I had discovered this cabin while my kids were little. They would have loved swimming at Trout Pond less than 5 minutes away and the local stores at Wardensville. Really appreciated the abundance of coffee, sugar, creamer, toiletries, etc left for guests. So thoughtful. Kelly is an amazing host. Thank you for a lovely relaxing weekend

My dog and I had a lovely time at Agnes' place. I chose the place since it was close to the hiking areas I am interested in. We were out most of the time so the basic amenities the place provided was perfect for us. Would recommend and would certainly be back. Just a few pointers: Make sure to download the check-in info/ key lock combo before you reach the place since there is no cell signal in the area. The walls are sort of thin so you can hear the upstairs neighbors. It didn't bother us though. There is no cable which I was expecting. However, would have loved to have instructions on how to operate the DVD/VHS set up. Internet is strong so I was able to have video calls with no problem. The closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away so come prepared. However, there is a small community store/gasoline station about 3 minutes away that has the basics. Lake Laura, less than 5 minutes away, provides a beautiful easy hike.

We had a great family vacation at Steve’s place. The area was beautiful and the house was just what we expected. We loved the cabin as it was - gave us a cabin feel with some updates that worked for us. Just a reminder to anyone coming that cooks everyday and/or planning to use the grill: bring cooking oil, your own spices, and possibly your own pots if you’re making meals for 4+ people. Last guests left us charcoal so we left our bag but this may not always be the case. The grill was used and not cleaned before we got there and we unfortunately did not bring the brush we use to clean it so it was a small struggle to get it good for our use. Home is a dog friendly home and carpets may need a little upkeep. An extra chair or two might also be good if your family is 4+. We had ample space and comfy washed linens and blankets available to us. Short drive to Lake Laura and the quiet neighborhood was the cherry on top. Pictures did not do the area justice. We loved our stay here! It was peaceful and secluded but still with some neighbors nearby. There is plenty to do nearby if you love the outdoors. We went hiking and to Luray caverns. The river front behind the house was well maintained and the water was clear and clean. We went for a swim and so did our dogs. The pictures and description of the house are accurate. It is clean and well kept, yet also simple. We did not have a large group, but the house is spacious enough for a larger family. We are hoping we make it back to this house soon!

We loved our relaxing stay- we sat by the fire, watched movies, played pool, and skied and hiked during our visit. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The host provided extras that were unexpected- handsoap, shower toiletries and a welcome basket of chocolate. So sweet! The house was spacious for our family of 6. I loved that we could all be together and then retreat to our own spaces for sleep.

The cottage/house was as described and wonderful. The location was perfect to explore the many nearby hiking and outdoors options. The property itself has an excellent view. The fenced in yard was convenient for our dog. Inside everything was clean and well-maintained. There were a number of nice touches to make you feel at home. There was everything one would need and more. I needed to work remotely one day and the WiFi was very reliable. Great stay!
