Great place, equipped with everything you could need. wood provided and firelighters and matches provided for log burner. sheep right outside the decking. set on the back of an equestrian type farm place, nice and quiet. we walked to the white swan, about 15mins, great food. Rail Trail nearby was a nice walk. hot tub was great, press and hold the right hand button to adjust the temp, took us a day to figure that out, and the first button on left adjusts the bubbles. there was individual jams and butters in the fridge, prosecco, crisps and biscuits, tea coffee sugar and 2pints of milk provided. it wasn't immediately obvious how to turn on the towel radiator in the bathroom, but there's a tiny switch on the bottom right. shower was OK did the job, but kinda what you expect from an electric shower. The postcode didn't take us right to the place but if you just keep going along the same road you will get to the gate to the farm. 100% recommend, would stay again.

My family and I stayed Monday to Friday, fabulous site, the lodge was perfect for us and the staff really helpful. Lovely stay.

Spent three lovely days at this wonderful property with my husband, parents and dogs. Helen and Richard were very responsive, helpful, friendly and a pleasure to communicate with. Upon arrival, we found the site to be quiet and peaceful. The lodge is situated on its own plot and felt very private with plenty of comfortable seating areas right the way round it which lit up beautifully on a night time with fairy lights. Inside the lodge feels so homely and has such a unique character, decorated and furnished with a bright and cheerful charm. The many plants really set it off too! I love plants! We enjoyed our evenings playing games and watching films from the wide selection of DVD's provided, after a much needed soak in the hot tub. I scored the biggest bed which was very snuggly and I really appreciated the size of it for my pregnancy related tossing and turning without disrupting my husband's sleep! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return again in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean on arrival with plenty of fresh towels for both the hot tub and the shower. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was checked twice daily, so felt assured the hot tub was clean and safe to use. James was responsive and helpful when messaged. There was a lovely walk nearby too. The space felt peaceful and private.

A hidden little gem! Had a wonderful time in a beautiful lodge in a gorgeous setting. Relaxed and refreshed thank you so much we will be back!

The lodge was lovely, the location spectacular and the hot tub was fabulous. waking up to lambs every morning was a pleasure. There are some amazing walks around the area and it's not too far to walk for a really nice meal.

Lovely stay at the lodge. Great location for the train into Harrogate and York. We were blessed with good weather so enjoyed alfresco drinks and a dip in the hot tub.

We had a fantastic time at Duncan’s place. The cabin has absolutely everything you need for a really relaxing stay. We would definitely come back again. Cosy, comfortable and the perfect spot to escape for a few days.

We arrived early and parked up at the lodge at Ashley was just finishing the clean so we had chance to meet and had a lovely chat about the park and lodge. We left here to it as we had booked for lunch at the Gamekeepers and the staff were super friendly the cask ales (Tetley's, Saltaire Blonde & Timothy Taylor Best and Landlord) were all in excellent condition and always helps when staff know how to pull a good pint. Open sandwiches were our choice and both were excellent and fresh. The allocated seating for dog owners was very pleasant. The site is fantastic, lots of open spaces for our labradoodle to explore. Then to the lodge and it did when it said on the tin, lovely layout, comfy beds, exceptional showers and end of a cul de sac elevated location meant zero traffic and the very occasional pedestrian taking a stroll. We are coming back as its simple location location to visit the Dales.

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely lodge. Very cosy and spotlessly clean. Having the gym, pool and spa on the doorstep was such a bonus and we used them every day. The surrounding area is beautiful and we loved visiting Grassington and Malham Cove especially. Thanks so much.

If you are looking for privacy and quiet location, this is for you. We fell in love with the place. The furnishings inside and out are excellent. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom of a large outdoor area. The outside with the fire pit, deep bath with plenty of hot water. Tv & refrigerator was a great touch. Hot tub was always bubbling away. Thanks Pete

The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We as a family had a wonderful time together. The host was very friendly and helpful.

A long awaited break and worth every minute. Quiet, pet friendly, walks from the site available, so for a short break, plenty to do in the area without having to go far.

Bought for my brother and sister in law for a little trip away. They said the lodge was one of the most impressive places they have stayed in! Beautifully decorated with high end furniture, and opening the curtains to look at the lake from the bedroom was amazing. Lots to do nearby. They would 💯 go back and I I’ll be going with them! WiFi wasn’t great on an evening when the site was busy. Great hosts. Absolutely recommend.

A beautiful, peaceful location. The lodge was spotless and well equipped. The location is a great central point from which to explore the local area. We will definitely be back!

great location, great house, great comes really thoughtful touches like a mix of feather and none feather pillows as well as dog treats and toys, location brilliant, the campsite next door is fab, great bus service to and from town. 100% recommend

A perfect little escape. My boyfriend and I chose this place as a quiet birthday celebration and it was exactly what we wanted. A lovely break from the everyday! We will be returning in the future :)

This place is exactly how it looks in the pictures. Opulent, indulgent, extravagant I could go on. Nigel is a great host- he was happy to leave us to it but also was super engaging for a good chat about the carriage, the local area and his plans going forward. A really good find, just gutted we couldn’t stay longer.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfy very cosy! Lots of animals paid us a visit so make sure to shut the door! We were told the ducks and goats will come inside! Lovely lakes if you like fishing or just walking around. The watermill restaurant really lovely food. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lovely lodge would definitely recommend.

I booked the chalet for my boyfriend's birthday in the hope of having a quiet, relaxing weekend and it exceeded our expectations. The interior is stunning with a peaceful vibe and has everything that you could need. We even managed to cook a Sunday roast with all the cooking equipment provided! We loved the small details including the sound systems where we could constantly have music on throughout the Chalet. Jemma and Dan made it feel very homely and the fresh loaf of sour dough was a lovely touch. We would highly recommended a stay in this gorgeous place!

When we turned up we were greeted and taken to the cabin to check in. Rias father was very helpful and made us feel very welcome, everything was explained to us and anything we should need we just had to ask. We absolutely loved our stay, it was such a cosy cabin and very much needed for some time away, it was in a lovely peaceful area and just a short drive away to the local shops and restaurants 😀 We will certainly book to stay here again. We stayed here over the Easter weekend, and it was perfect! The lodge itself had everything you could need. It was very spacious, bright and spotless. With the directions provided, we had no issues finding the lodge and gaining access. The heating worked very well for the cold mornings. The only thing we could have done with is a hairdryer, but this didn’t cause us any issues. Only a 15 minutes’ drive into the centre of York, and round the corner from the Air Museum. Aldi is only a 10 minutes’ drive away in Pocklington. Lindsay is a fantastic host, going above and beyond. We accidently left something in the lodge (100% our mistake) and Lindsay couldn’t have been more helpful. We will certainly be visiting again and recommending this lodge to friends and family.
