Thank you for checking out our Family retreat in Plush Oregon. Kjar is Pronounced Care its Danish . Plush is a Special place. At first it seems like the middle of know where but you soon realize it is the middle of the most relaxing place you have ever been. There are so many things to see from Sun stone's to Petroglyphs to the Shirk Ranch, Sitting on the Deck at night watching the Stars. Plush is one of the Darkest places in the west, very little light pollution here. The list is endless.

Quiet 1 bedroom Apartment

Welcome to our hidden treasure, it’s time to relax.. Our guest suite (more of an apartment) is tucked away in a low activity & convenient neighborhood. Inset from rd. makes for a quiet & private stay. Close to downtown, hosp., & stores. Comfortably sleeps 4(6 w/pullout). 2 Qbeds (1 firm/1 soft), 52” TV, Roku, games, fast WIFI, Nintendo (old school). Coffee supplies & stocked kitchen. Connected to main house but completely independent (1/2 shared wall) & private entrance. Access to shared yard.

SR Longhorns Parlor

SR Longhorn Parlor is a retired milking parlor. It sleeps 4 comfortably but up to 6. Our 82 acre working ranch is 5 miles from downtown Burns. A quiet place to decompress, hike, bird watch or bike ride. Marshall Ln. is a bumpy 1 mile dirt road that is used by 4 other families. Go slow and keep to your left. If you come across opposing traffic keep right and park (they’ll go around you). Ask us about add on services. We are full time on premises & here to help you customize your stay.

High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

The Outlook

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located on a remote eastern Oregon cattle ranch. Wildlife viewing, star gazing at it's best. Winter months are snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or a good book by the fire. Beautiful views in all directions, and we are the only ranch in sight. The Sandhill Suite is a newly remodeled home conveniently located five miles east of Burns just off highway 20. This cozy two bedroom home was remodeled in early 2023 and has lots of amenities to offer. Its a great option for extended stays or a quick weekend getaway and sleeps up to four people. Welcome to the Mickel House! This cute house is located just blocks away from a cute park. It’s also a few miles from Burns where there is a good selection of restaurants and shopping. We are close to the Steens Mountains, Malhuer Wildlife refuge and so much more! Harney County is the best place to bird watch in the spring, with over 300 different species of birds migrating through!

Titus Ranch - Two Bedroom Apartment

Rural Ranch setting, Gorgeous views of Sunrises and Sunsets, large variety of birds and other wildlife. Come relax and unplug in rural Eastern Oregon. Located near Steen's Mountain Wilderness area and Malhuer Wildlife Refuge. Pets are welcome, but please try to keep them off of the furniture.
