I've always been drawn to the images of the Native Hawaiian Kauhale (Hawaiian Village). With the Kalo patches, the bananas, the placement of ulu and coconut tress. It all just communicated a feeling of health and vitality where the land and it's people were in harmony. This vision is my guiding light as I cultivate this space. The studio is located in lower Puna, Leilani Estates and an easy 12 minute stroll for a view of Ahuʻailāʻau, the official title for Fissure 8, which appeared in the Puna District of Hawai'i Island during the 2018 Kīlauea eruption. 10 minute drive to historic Pāhoa town , 25 minute drive to the scenic Red Road and 35 minutes to Hilo. Studio is attached to the main part of the home with a parking space, private entryway and lanai. Kitchenette has all you need to prepare a meal. Grill on request.

Large studio unit attached to our family home in HPP, a rural subdivision in Puna on Hawai‘i Island. 20 min from Hilo Int'l Airport & 40 min from Volcanoes NP. We have 2 large dogs, Jack & Boogie, a big blind pig, Lilo, and many cats. They bark/chuff and will be excited to meet you. If you aren't comfortable around large dogs and a blind pig this is not the place for you. Animal noises, incl. coqui frogs, are part of this rural space. You agree to all "House Rules" by instantly booking.
