Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

This lovely cottage has woods, hiking trails, and perenial gardens right outside the door. There are ski trails a mile away and the Redhead Mountain Bike park 8 miles away. The 2 Bdrm, 2 Bath home is fully furnished and has been completely renovated. The kitchen has everything needed to dine at home. The deck provides a peaceful view of the woods; and the 3 season porch and loft den offer lovely places to relax and read. In the winter the wood stove provides a toasty ambiance.

The Wandering Moose -Cabin Getaway, with Sauna!

This cabin was built for family gatherings and a recreational retreat and has been in the family for years. We offer a place to sleep 4 with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, bar area, dining table and a small bathroom with a shower and sink. We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.

Upstairs apartment all to yourself. Large bedroom with a king Tempur-Pedic bed and sitting area w/desk; queen-size blowup bed and additional bedding available. Our yurt sits on the edge of a wild woods overlooking a clearing that is an active forest restoration project currently in process on the banks of the Cloquet River. Take a quiet stroll or snowshoe through the woods, fish, swim, view wildlife, or take some valuable time for stillness and contemplation. Hang a hammock in the trees, relax, listen to the birds and watch the river go by.
