Great birthday night stay at everything retreat, if you’re looking for a romantic break this place is perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay, the pod (pod 2) accommodation was fantastic and fitted our needs as a family of 4, with brilliant views that could be enjoyed from the hot tub. The onsite play park for kids was unexpected but really good and there was plenty of other space for them to play too. We didn't pay attention to which pod we had booked but there are different internal layouts and orientations/locations on the site so something we will be aware of next time we come.

Just as described lovely private airbnb, within driving distance to amenities and restaurants. Peaceful surroundings and great facilities.

Lovely lodge in serene setting - very very quiet on single track road. Cycle paths very close. Sherwood pines centre close. Great stay with two grandchildren and family called in.

My family and I stayed Monday to Friday, fabulous site, the lodge was perfect for us and the staff really helpful. Lovely stay.

We stayed in Luke’s accommodation for my wife’s 40th - from the off Luke was extremely responsive and helpful when planning where to eat and where to walk locally, with lots of recommendations. The pesto at the peacock was a 10 minute drive and a restaurant we can’t wait to return to. The accommodation was easy to find, quiet and secluded. Exactly as described and shown in the photos. The garden area was a sun trap and fantastic place to relax, with the hot tub also a nice touch. We would definitely return and thank Luke for the hospitality.

We found Wigwam listings after scrolling through loads on Airb&b. The place was absolutely stunning. Inside the cabin was lovely and clean. Hot tub was lite before we arrived. The only small thing I would say that the bbq could do with a good clean and fixing up as we had trouble keeping the bottom door closed. Heather was great in meeting us outside and showing us around. Great at responding to messages. I would return again for a long weekend get away.

Loved our stay, it was exactly how it was described. we especially loved the gazebo with bath, fire pit and TV and spent most of our time in there especially in the evening. we came home totally relaxed and would definitely stay again

Really comfy beds, and lovely inside fire. The outside cooking areas is amazing. Steve put a fire on for us for our return from a wet day at Alton towers which was a lovely touch. Great stay in a beautiful location.

Ray was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, and was on hand should we have any issue. The lodge is so peaceful and quiet, but very easy to access a lot of places to visit. Would definitely stay here again

Stayed at Emma’s place for 3 days & wished we had booked for longer, had everything we needed, loved the welcoming gift of chocolates & a bottle of wine. The Costa machine was so nice & a lovely touch. We had lots of walks with the dogs on our doorstep & lovely views of the lake. Will definitely return 😍

The place is a lot bigger than on the photos. The secluded garden was brilliant for my dog and the big field opposite was an added bonus to walk him. It is very peaceful and I would definitely book it again. Gabby was very quick in replying, when we got lost and needed fire-lighters for the log burner.

Me and my partner had an amazing stay at The Windsor cabin. It had beautiful decor and was incredibly clean. The hot tub was such a highlight as well. Couldn’t recommend here enough. Linda and Hannah were a great help when we had any queries. Will 100% stay here again.

Hands down one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Rod and Victoria have done an amazing job with the cabin and it just ticked all the boxes. You couldn’t ask for a better location sat between the water and the lovely horses behind us. How nice it was to be sat round the fire pit watching the boats go by tucking into some sausages from the BBQ. The little touches really made the place feel like home. The fresh bread and butter. The outstanding marmalade to accompany a nice cup of tea with some milk 😊 and the hot chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows sure did go down a treat with the kids! They provided all the fire wood we needed for the night so we could get the wood burner going which made the cabin feel lovely and toasty. They also gave you some feed for the animals which was such an experience for the kids and they loved it. Super friendly hosts with great communication. Easy and accurate directions to follow. We were a family of 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog and Sharon’s cabin was lovely and clean and perfect for a few days away. It was kitted with everything we needed and more but the smart TV, reclining sofas, electric fireplace and the coffee machine were such a bonus. Sharon was very quick to respond to a few queries and also super friendly. We’d definitely come back, thank you for having us 😊

Sometimes you stay in places that are nice but you think your home is nicer, so it’s all a bit pointless. Well, not this place. The cabin is tastefully decorated, with small touches that have been thought through and considered - like the choice of books (not often you see Jumpa Lahiri in a collection!), the lighting, the comfy bed, the shower, etc. It’s all fabulous. The brook outside is soothing and the surrounding walks are beautiful. I’d love to come back in the autumn, when the leaves are turning and we get to light the wood burner. It’s rare that I get the ‘moving out of London’ fantasies - but this place certainly made me have a few!

Patsy and her partner were absolutely lovely hosts! They were kind and incredibly responsive, which we so appreciated as we are from out of the country. They made us feel right at home, and we absolutely intend to return to stay with them again. Don't hesitate to book a long weekend with them in this beautiful and serene refuge, you wont regret it!

What an absolutely incredible place to stay. Such a peaceful area and a cool place to stay. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay from all cooking equipment, towels, bedding, games and even hot water bottles. There was some really kind touches even for our little dog. Overall a fantastic place which I would love to return to one day!

Loved staying at this place. It was close to the city - very accessible and the hosts were great. The place itself was worth the price. Would love to stay here again!

Great place, equipped with everything you could need. wood provided and firelighters and matches provided for log burner. sheep right outside the decking. set on the back of an equestrian type farm place, nice and quiet. we walked to the white swan, about 15mins, great food. Rail Trail nearby was a nice walk. hot tub was great, press and hold the right hand button to adjust the temp, took us a day to figure that out, and the first button on left adjusts the bubbles. there was individual jams and butters in the fridge, prosecco, crisps and biscuits, tea coffee sugar and 2pints of milk provided. it wasn't immediately obvious how to turn on the towel radiator in the bathroom, but there's a tiny switch on the bottom right. shower was OK did the job, but kinda what you expect from an electric shower. The postcode didn't take us right to the place but if you just keep going along the same road you will get to the gate to the farm. 100% recommend, would stay again.

Was an amazing, much needed little getaway for me and my partner. From the moment we arrived the host was welcoming and helpful, any questions we had were answered promptly. The whole lodge was tidy, and beautiful. The hot tub was an amazing feature, used it more than once. Nice little touches included a little snack and cans of drink box, the little bottle of milk in the fridge, and the gowns and soft sandal shoes. Will definitely be returning at some point in the near future.

Just what we needed - and more. A local base to bed-down whilst visiting family nearby - without getting under their feet too much. All clean, tidy and cosy. Kate was super-welcoming - showing us to the door and checking we could operate the heating, etc. A lovely setting, right on the waterfront. A handy location for the new Vermuyden Way parkrun which has recently started in Belton/Sandtoft.
