Interesting place in the heart of the Mayan world, surrounded by crystal clear ceñotes. I had some trouble using the shower, and there is very little reception for the TV… but that is expected in such a remote Mayan town. The hosts are very helpful and are willing to bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. There was initially some difficulty finding the place, but that might have something to do with the app and not the host. The shower was clogged, but after swimming all day in a ceñote I didn’t feel dirty anyways.

Muy limpio el lugar y súper tranquilo, tuve un buen recibimiento. El único detalle es que la dirección en la App no coincidía con la ubicación real.

Hotel Kocai is a beautiful and private oasis amidst the yellow desert. The pool is cool and perfect for the weather, which is hot regardless of the season, and the staff are friendly and proactive. The room itself was incredible and it has all you need. Location can be tough to manage if you are carrying big luggage and were dropped off at the city center by the bus or train taxi service, but you can always get a 2 dollar taxi from the main square, just make sure it’s daytime as Izamal is a small town that, other than Sundays (festive weekend day for locals) will be dead by 10PM. Overall would definitely stay there again!

Logement tres tres chaleureux et unique en son genre. C'est un environnement paisible et loin de tout bruit. Piscine trè belle et personnel tres agréable. L'hôte tres réactif. Je recommande fortement !

Lieu sublime , intime , avec beaucoup D’espace , hauts plafonds , belle piscine et très bien décoré . La cuisine que nous n’avons pas utilisée est très bien aménagée , contrairement à d’autres Airbnb où il n’y a que sel et poivre là il y a des sauces mexicaines des épices du thé de différentes sortes etc . Mon seul regret c’est de ne pas avoir pu séjourner plus longtemps. La ville est exceptionnelle, calme , belle . Il y a un restaurant incroyable Kanché . Le marché ouvert tôt le matin propose des spécialités diverses et les 3 pyramides Maya , chacune différente , rendent le lieu magique .
