Our family of 4 (+ our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorhaus on Lake Granbury. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was very well provisioned and the beds were comfortable. We loved the game room and spent a lot of time playing ping pong & shuffleboard, but also really enjoyed cooking s'mores over the fire pit. It is an incredibly peaceful spot on the lake. The Canadian Geese and ducks seemed to enjoy it too! We didn't need much help, but both Mike & Christine were very quick & responsive when we had some questions. Loved it and we'd definitely go back.

Had a great time here. Was a perfect home and location for my husbands 40th surprise birthday party. Jessica thought of every small detail in making our stay as comfortable as possible. We really appreciated the fully stocked coffee bar. Home was very unique and beautiful. We had a lot of kids stay and it was great for our older kids ages 12+ but if you are staying with toddlers might want to reconsider because of the hanging staircase and steep stairs to the game room. This home is for a stay with older kids for sure. I wouldn’t change the hanging staircase as it’s very beautiful and unique just keep that in mind when booking. The property was gorgeous we spent a lot of time out on the water. My daughter caught a huge bass right away on lake access in the backyard. Game room had every game you could think of. Not a moment of boredom staying here it was truly a wonderful stay highly recommend this place.

This was by far my favorite BNB to stay at. We are already looking to book again for this year but want to stay an extra night. Peaceful & relaxing. Even the neighbors are super nice! The decor is awesome too!

Great location for a long weekend stay. We were in town for a wedding. The view from the backyard was great, the rooms were incredibly spacious, and the kitchen well stocked.

What a wonderful home from home.. was in Texas working and we didn’t want to be in Dallas. Found Derek’s fantastic home. Definitely as described, no issues to speak off, Derek was great and communicating. If I head back to Granbury I would be booking again. 5 stars all the way…

Our long term stay at this lovely Airbnb was nothing short of delightful! The drive to the property set the perfect tone, winding past fields dotted with cows, goats, deer, turkeys, and even some longhorn—a charming glimpse of Texas countryside. While the home is just a short drive from all the attractions and charm that Granbury has to offer, its location within a private gated property made it feel like a peaceful retreat. The home itself is simple yet thoughtfully maintained, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. The calm and serene atmosphere was perfect for unwinding, and the owners, who live nearby, were wonderfully attentive. Their kindness and care added a personal touch that made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot that’s close to town but feels like a hidden getaway, this is the perfect place. I would highly recommend it and hope to stay again in the future!

Tina is a very friendly host, the place is quiet with beautiful surroundings, a great experience and unforgettable memories with the family, just 10 minutes from the supermarket and downtown, we will definitely be back soon! 🥰

A very cute home with lots of space, great for couples and small parties alike. Made for a very romantic Valentines Day getaway.

My husband and I brought our one and two year old to the farm and they had a blast! The bedroom was bigger than I expected so the pack in play fit really well. There was so much to do around the farm! Helen was very responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing place to stay! We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was close enough to Ft. Worth to visit friends and Granbury where we had some work to do the next couple of days. Super peaceful and comfortable! Wish we had more time to be able to explore the ranch! The shower was fantastic and I was determined to use the hot tub even though it was cold outside! Really unique experience staying in a safari tent. I highly recommend it!

If I could rate the experience higher than 5 stars, I would! First of all, Helen, the host, was incredibly communicative, helpful, friendly, accommodating, and an overall superb host. She was very responsive via text, and even made sure we had all that we needed and were happy the following morning. The house was so cute. It was old and quirky, in a very good way! There were books everywhere, games, cozy, and the beds were super comfortable. We had everything that we needed to be comfortable- plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets, shower supplies, coffee, and even robes! And, all the things needed to start a fire to relax by in the evening. I was so pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail. The property is indescribable. It’s perfect if you have kids, but would even be great for an adult getaway. The animals were so cute and friendly, and it is obvious they are well taken care of. The river and proximate to downtown were amazing. We will be back! I highly recommend!

As a solo traveler, Cabin 10 at Time Out on the Brazos was the perfect little escape. The river access was absolutely amazing—I spent so much time just soaking in the peace and quiet. The cabin itself was spotless, super cozy, and had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the kitchen was, making it easy to whip up my own meals. Everything about my stay was just what I needed, and I’ll definitely be back!

A great getaway and a great stay! This house was just what the doctor ordered. The family needed some R&R away from three gudtle and bustle if everyday life. This property delivered!

Had a great 2-night Spring Break stay. Location was great to get everywhere we wanted to visit - Dinosaur Valley State Park, Big Rocks Park, and seeing Granbury. The house was fully stocked and the kids loved sleeping in the loft.
