Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Welcome to our Hillside Oasis! Enjoy your own private spacious coach house with an unbelievable view. One bedroom, one bathroom, hotplate, toaster oven, fridge, pull-out couch, living room, cute little wood burning stove. 5 minute drive to the cove/ferry terminal. Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Tucked into the forest canopy on Bowen Island, the Wildwood Cabins are authentic, hand crafted post and beam cabins built from local and reclaimed timber. The Fat Cat Inn

In a quiet neighbourhood, a lovely, private, air-conditioned, vaulted-ceiling cabin with glass front overlooking Baynes Sound and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Self-contained with a private entrance. Queen-size bed in loft, single bed on main floor. Private bathroom with shower. Private access to beach. Close to ferry, a short walk to the local village. Please note that this property is not suitable for people with mobility issues or small children. WE DO NOT CHARGE CLEANING FEES.

Our cozy guest cabin is nestled in the forest a five minute walk to the beach & near mountain biking trails. Dine Al fresco on the large patio! Access to the outdoor jacuzzi. Terrycloth robes supplied. Well equipped kitchen includes a full size fridge, convection oven, hotplate, microwave, grinder, coffee maker & outdoor propane BBQ. Indoor shower. Eco friendly Sun-Mar composting toilet in a separate building. There is a wall mounted Monitor (no cable) to connect to your devices.

Take in a Performance or Art Show. Shop locally grown produce and discover our many talented artists. Situated on 10 acres, garden views invite you to relax and watch the flowers + veggies grow. Horses and sheep graze in the fields. Relax in the orchard on a hammock, play bocce + croquet.

Curved boat like getaway adjacent and overlooking Helliwell Park, it's in the grassy oak grove meadowlands with spectacular open southern views, beach below. The house is best as getaway for 2 with occasional guests in separate bedrooms. all amenities plus a fireplace, heated stone floors and outside bathtub. This 1971 Airstream has been totally rebuilt into a super comfortable and memorable escape. It's a great couple's vacation, completely private on its own acre of land. There's a separate indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two.
