Estancia maravillosa en un lugar impresionante. Temperatura ideal, decoración y estilo preciosos, con cercanía y tranquilidad. Totalmente recomendado, pues el sitio se adapta a cualquier plan. Desde una escapada con amigos (nuestro caso) a un finde romántico o una salida familiar. Hemos estado genial y repetiremos sin duda. This was our second time at Pepa and Juan‘s beautiful Cave Houses that they have renovated with such joy and creativity and care. We stayed here for the first time six years ago and have talked about it as the highlight of our trip to Spain for over six years! We were so happy to finally return. Pepa and Juan are as delightful and wonderful as we remember them. And the Cave Houses were as beautiful and clever as we remember them. The infinity pool with the waterfall in the cave was what my daughter remembered most and it was all so fun to play and relax in. Pepa and Juan have made such a special place for relaxing and enjoying a unique dwelling. The caves are immaculately designed, cute and fun to be in, and the infinity pool is refreshing and delightful overlooking the cliff and ravine. Pepa and Juan are AMAZING and kind and attentive and VERY accommodating. This place is special, unique, and unforgettable.

The cave house was the more exciting booking for our road trip around Andalucia, and didn't disappoint.I previously stayed at one further out that was more barren;Los Balcones is set in a valley with a canyon below,which offered beautiful and adventurous walks.We only stayed one night so were unable to explore the nearby astropark or find out about restaurants etc.We had the place to ourselves and although out of season,the pool was filled and very clean,as well as fun and charming in design.Our cave house was carefully furnished and decorated and our hosts had lit the fire for our arrival - a very efficient wood-burning stove that made us very comfortable.Juan and Pepa were so kind,we arrived later than estimated and kept them waiting for hours to my shame,but they were patient and sunny with us despite the inconvenience.They are great people with a wonderful vision for this ambitious project to restore the cave community,and I wish them the best. We hope to return for longer.x

Where to begin? Our stay at the caves was amazing. Juan, Pepa y Manuel were fantastic hosts. We felt immediately at home from the moment Juan and Pepa greeted as we drove onto the property. The were so very, very warm, nice, intelligent and authentic. The caves were stylishly decorated and the temperature inside was a "cool" welcome from the heat outside. It was such a unique experience! Our two kids loved staying in the caves and playing at the pool. There were several other families staying in the caves and we had a few combined meals. It really was magical! This place is the real deal if you are looking for a tranquil place to get away and soak up some beautiful Andalucían canyon country! 100% recommendable!

Ha sido perfecto. La dueña muy simpática y atenta. Le cuesta comunicarse pero nada fuera de lo normal, puedes entenderla perfectamente por las indicaciones. La cueva es preciosa y una experiencia que recomendaría a todo el mundo. Además que te deja un regalo de bienvenida 🥰

Estancia y entorno inmejorables. David atiende a la perfección. No es un alojamiento; esa terraza es una experiencia.

Hemos pasado unos días en la casa cueva y nos hemos sentido como en casa. Es el lugar perfecto para desconetar no solo por la disposición de la casa (3 de las habitaciones están excavadas en la piedra por lo que mantienen una temperatura constante todo el año, unos 21º más o menos), sino también por las vistas que tienes desde el patio que está a la entrada. El lugar es tal como se describe tanto en el anuncio como en los comentarios de otros viajeros, que tambien nos han ayudado mucho. Se baja muy bien hasta la casa; de hecho hemos ido con una persona mayor que puede andar y no ha habido problemas ya que la casa tiene una escalera lateral por donde se puede llegar fácilmente a la cima del monte, donde hay que dejar el coche porque existe una pendiente bastante pronunciada hasta la entrada. A unos 10 km del pueblo están los baños de Zujar, completamente gratis y accesibles las 24 horas a los que hemos ido todos los dias. Todo ha sido perfecto, gracias Lucía

Chris is very nice and his dogs and cats are a great addition to the beauty of the space he created. The cave is much nicer than I thought from the pictures. Sleeping there was great, silence and dark.

We hebben een onvergetelijk weekend doorgebracht in de *Cueva Cascamorras* om het jaar af te sluiten. De grot is spectaculair, een perfecte mix van comfort en een authentieke, unieke sfeer. Ideaal om te ontspannen en te genieten van de rust in de omgeving. Absoluut een ervaring die ik 100% aanbeveel voor wie iets bijzonders zoekt. Ik hoop snel terug te komen!

Wonderful place to stay. We had an amazing experience there. The place is unique mix of a cave house with modern hint. Absolutely spotless. It has everything you might need and beyond.

We had a wonderful stay. They thought of everything and generous with snacks, towels, pillows, blankets, coffee etc. they have thought of everything and their pride in the place is evident. I highly recommend this place. We were taken on a magnificent tour up the top of the ridge by the owner. Can’t say enough. We wished we stayed more nights.

Fantastic place to relax. An interesting location with a great little museum about the caves as well. You do get noise from the nearby highway when you're outside, but that didn't really disturb us (and you can't hear it in the caves). Manuel and his colleagues were excellent hosts. We really enjoyed our stay - thank you!

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à la Cueva ! Le logement est calme et la piscine magnifique. Excellent emplacement pour visiter la région. Notre hôte a été très serviable.

Would highly recommend this property ,from the minute arriving until leaving everything was perfect .Our host greeted us,with a bottle of home made wine and then showed us to the house to which I must say was beyond my expectations.The property was very homely and extremley clean . We had the most amazing view from our patio area of the Sieera Nevada mountains . Just to say if you want a relXing time with great hosts then this is the place

Un lugar en el que he podido relajarme como quería, lejos del ruido, pero cerca de comercios, restaurantes, etc. La cueva es muy bonita y estaba muy limpia. José ha sido en todo momento superamable y nos ha hecho varias recomendaciones de visitas por la zona. Lo recomiendo totalmente :). Gracias por todo, José. ¡Volveremos!

We loved our stay at Cuevas la Chumbera. While we used the accommodation as a home base to visit many areas outside of Benalua, the time we had at our accommodation was wonderful and will provide our family with happy memories of our travel to Spain. The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed for a great stay.
