The cottage is family-owned and is located in beautiful and peaceful surroundings next to Medalfellsvatn Lake with spectacular views over the lake. The cottage is located near Reykjavi­k, about 30-40 minute drive from Reykjavik. It is ideally situated amongst Iceland's most popular attractions. Many of the attractions are within 1 one-hour drive from the cottage, e.g. the Þingvellir National Park, which is on the way to Gullfoss and Geysir. Hot tub available upon request for €15 per day.

Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

This secluded cabin is just 35 min from Reykjavík and offers complete privacy along with a hot tub overlooking the lake. The bathroom is fully equipped, while the modest yet functional kitchenette includes all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a selection of movies on the TV with a DVD player—please note there’s no WiFi, making this the perfect spot to unplug and enjoy a peaceful, cozy getaway. We use geothermal water. Hvalfjarðarsveit Cottage with Mountain view

It's located in West Iceland with a view over Lake Eiðisvatn, the Hvalfjörður and the spectacular mountains around the fjord. Behind the small village of Melahverfi, which is signposted on the ringroad. Akranes is around 15 minutes away. In autumn and winter, this is also a good place to watch the Northern Lights. Although the view is wonderful, you can't help but see an aluminium plant a few kilometres away.

The cabins are part of Hotel Hafnarfjall resort. In the cabins you can really feel the nature around. You have an exceptional view of the ocean and Hafnarfjall mountain on the other side. Borgarnes town is just across the bridge, where you can find restaurants and supermarket. Breakfast is not included in the price and it's additionally paid in the hotel reception.
