Wir haben uns sofort in der Villa am Fluß wohlgefühlt. Die Lage ist ideal um die Attraktionen des Golden Circle zu besichtigen. Die Lage am Fluss und der Ausblick sind traumhaft, auf jeden zu empfehlen.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed spending Christmas and New Year's at Bjork's place. It was warm and cozy, with underfloor heating keeping the slate tiles toasty, a big couch in the living room, and lots of windows to enjoy the views. The hot tub was amazing and we had stunning northern lights one night. The house is in a gated community a couple km off the road, and this road can be slippery, so a 4x4 car or jeep might be a good idea in winter. These same quiet roads were great for walks - not much traffic and wonderful views in any direction you choose to walk. The trash/recycling center handled all sorts of materials - even organics! Bjork was really helpful, going above and beyond to check out holiday hours for grocery stores and help us locate jumper cables. The house is a 15 minute drive to Selfoss (shoutout to Kronan) and 8 minutes to Kerid Crater. Hveragerdi is 20 minutes, with a wonderful bakery, a geopark where for a small fee you can boil an egg in a hot spring.

Clean and comfortable home was just right for some recuperation on a rainy day with plenty of space for my family of four. The location was great to access the golden circle and south coast destinations once the weather cleared up. Communication was great and both check in and check out was a breeze. The deck feels very private. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and appliances. Location is very close to grocery stores for self-catering and there are restaurants nearby if you would rather not cook.

Alina was a very responsive and helpful host. Absolutely gorgeous area of the island and a perfect little stay with everything you need including a hot tub with a view! A little trouble with wifi and silverware but Alina was very timely with her troubleshooting. Highly recommended!

Logement très confortable sur Selfoss. La décoration est soignée, tout est fait pour qu’on s’y sente bien, la literie est parfaite. Bon emplacement pour les visites du Sud/Sud-Ouest de l’Islande.

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

Andrea is such a wonderful host! She was very communicative and provided wonderful snacks, including a home made cake! Her home is absolutely gorgeous; all new construction with a modern look! The hot tub was great, and she had it nice and warm when we arrived. It's a great location if you are staying in Selfoss or if you are heading south. Our only regret is that we only had one night to stay there!

What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

Ein super Airbnb. Modern eingerichtet aber total gemütlich. Wir haben uns gleich wie Zuhause gefühlt. Der Hot Tube auf der Terasse: Ein Traum. Mit der Beschreibung super zu finden. Die Gastgeber sind immer telefonisch zu erreichen und kümmern sich hervorragend.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. The host was super responsive and allowed us an early check in. The house itself is spacious, with super comfortable beds and it is gorgeous. The house fit 15 of us comfortably. The hot tub was so lovely and warm! It was only a short 15 minute drive to the centre with lots of bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here!

This was the best place we have ever stayed as a family. Sigurdurs place is beautiful with the most stunning view. The house is spacious and very warm and cosy. It is absolute heaven, the perfect escape to the countryside with a chance of seeing the northern lights over the lake. I would definitely recommend Sigurdur’s place to everyone. AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

Great house in a beautiful environment. Clean and spacious with great rooms. The location is very good in the south of Iceland. Wonderful stay all together and Helga answered all of my questions quickly. Highly recommend

This rental is on the grounds of a beautiful, historic church, and also very old ancient church, museum and archeological dig! There is also a great farm to table restaurant on the grounds-we had delicious lamb and salmon, kombuchi too. The views are great also. Two large bathrooms. Bring your own shampoo and body soap. Hand soap was provided. Quiet. Comfy beds. Kitchen pans ok but minimal. This is a good location for day trips to Goosfalls, S. Region, and National Park with mid-Atlantic rift. We loved this place and would come back.

Jon’s place was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing! – It was very private and we very much enjoyed our stay in this cosy little cabin. Very well located in the middle of the Golden Circle with a fantastic view of the nearby mountain. It was the perfect location to explore Iceland's beautiful nature - All major attractions of the Golden Circle are reachable within 1 hour drive and with a slightly longer drive you can easily see much of the south. It felt like home from home after a long day of exploring and we loved watching the sun go down over the mountain from the deck. We were also very lucky to have a fabulous display of the northern lights at the end of April! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us for our first trip to Iceland!

This is the most beautiful Airbnb I have stayed in. The pictures are exactly what you experience - and so much more. It is hard to describe the tranquility and beauty of the surrounding environment. We were fortunate enough to see the Northern lights each night! We had the most incredible time and recommend this location and home without reservation. Omar was an outstanding and responsive host and we cannot say enough positive things about this listing.

Wonderful stay! Cabin was lovely and hot tub was a very nice addition, hosts were also lovely (nice family-run business) and the cabin is less than 10 minutes walk to all the main spots in Selfoss, whilst still feeling like you're staying in a forest/nature. Highly recommend.

Wunderschöne Hütte, mit viel Liebe zum Detail und gemütlich eingerichtet - es ist alles da, was man braucht und Sabine als Host super nett und proaktiv. Wir haben tolle Ausflugsziele und Restaurants empfohlen bekommen und auch den von Sabine angebotenen Ausritt sehr genossen! Die Ruhe , die Isländer direkt vor der Hütte, der tolle Ausblick und die Gemütlichkeit haben uns super gefallen und wir hatten wunderschöne 4 Nächte hier. Auf jeden Fall eine große Empfehlung von uns! Gern würden wir auch selbst wiederkommen!!!

This was the perfect place for our group of two moms and two teen daughters. It was within an hour of Reykjavik and key Golden Circle sites, and was easy access to Highway 1 that took us to the Southern part of the country to experience its dramatic features (our favorite part). Nearby Sellfoss offered the cheapest gas we found and lower prices at grocery stores than in Reykjavik. We had amazing views of the Northern Lights every night we stayed up late enough to see them due to the wide open views from the cabin and relative low light in the valley. The hosts were AMAZING, offering tips, keeping us informed about the area, and even dropping us a quick note when they'd heard through local reports that there would be a particularly great aurora display that night. We also loved the relative privacy and open space around the cabin. I almost hesitate to go on as we plan to return one day and I hope the place isn't booked solid!
