I stayed in Jon's place for a week. I was visiting Taipei to catch up with a friend and Jon's apartment was perfect for me, so close to the Sanchong Elementary School MRT station and Sanhe night market. Communication with Jon's team was amazing at all times. They provided me with great directions and instructions on how to get my key from the lockbox. Every step presented with photos so I couldn't go wrong. Other commenters have mentioned the steep and narrow stairs, but I thought they were not unusual and I had no problems going up or down with my suitcase. The apartment is simple, just a bedroom and a bathroom. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had excellent hot water and strong water pressure. Before arriving, Jon had messaged me with some general stuff about visiting, including a link to the Taiwan The Lucky Land tourist lottery. And I won an IC card! So sign up for that. I have nothing but positive things to say about Jon's place.

A clean and comfortable stay, with all the necessities a traveler could need. The host was communicative and helpful. The convenient location makes it a perfect base for exploring Taipei.

This was the second time i've stayed at Johnson's place, on both occasions for 3 weeks. I've now stayed in both of the airbnbs at his address. Both are very good: extremely clean and well-equipped, and Johnson is a very helpful and responsive host! As an example, before I arrived, he messaged to ask if there was anything I needed. I asked if there was equipment to make tea (I'm English!). I simply meant, a kettle. When I arrived, Johnson had provided a full tea set for me: teapot, jug and cups, as well as the all-important kettle and much more than I'd asked! He really is a very good host and I whole-heartedly recommend his airbnbs to anyone looking to stay comfortably in this very pleasant and relaxing area of Taipei city.

Even though we did not have a face to face handover during the check in process due to us arriving at night, host and his team were responsive to any questions we had. the location is great, short walk to ximending shopping district! the place is clean and as described! I also love how they had a big bottle of water (5L I presumed) prepared for us. Tim's place is definitely worth the money and would definitely recommend anyone who come across his listing to book it!

I really enjoyed my stay at this location! Huge thanks to Lofi, Yu-Christine and WooBin for all of their help. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like an electric adaptor. Comfortable bedding, all the amenities I need on the go in the kitchen, and a good shower. The location was fantastic - out of the frenetic hustle and bustle of the business district, but in a very cool area with some famous restaurants and food stalls and easy access to the train and buses. My hosts’ communication was excellent. I needed to arrange an unusual check in time due to my flight arrival, and that was accommodated for so kindly. Lofi checked in to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed and provided excellent check in and appliance use resources so I could make the best use of the space. Will absolutely book again on my next trip to Taipei!

The apartment was perfect for a long stay with our toddler. The apartment had everything we needed - laundry, an equipped kitchen, a big bathtub - and the front bedroom has a low bed with tatami next to it so perfect for a little one. I used to live in the area and always like to return here because of how local it feels - this is classic Taipei. No frills, nothing fancy, but so much heart and character. Add in a responsive and helpful host and it’s a great combo. Will definitely stay again!

Bottom line up front: You’ll be obsessed with this stay if you enjoy the real Airbnb human touch, not the hotel-like listings with hosts who just send auto replies and macros. Stephen is amazing. He’s lived in Taipei for decades and knows the city well. He was super responsive to our questions even before we arrived. He and his co-host Mr. Charlie also greeted us downstairs when we checked in. They're very thoughtful and left us fresh fruit and drinks, and was even flexible with our check-out time. This apartment is literally 30 seconds from City Hall MRT Exit 1. When Stephen told us that, we thought he was exaggerating - turns out it’s exactly that close, so wild. Despite being in the center of Xinyi, the building faces away from the main street, so you get that rare peace and local vibes that makes the location feels like a residential neighborhood. Yet within a 1-min walk, you’ve got two conbinis, a bakery, boba shops, and tons of local eaters. We enjoyed every sec of our stay :)

Jason's place was very neat and cozy, evidently clean and well-maintained. The instructions given to find the location were clear, despite the somewhat challenging terrain of the area. It is very conveniently located close to Jiufen Old Street, and we had no problem walking around and finding our way back. Jason was a very kind, funny, and responsive host who made sure we had everything we need, and welcomed us very kindly. As a local, he introduced us to the nearby tourist hotspots and recommended us on where to go. I would love to return one day, and I would highly recommend Jason's place to anyone thinking of staying in Jiufen! Thank you so much for having us, Jason!
