Our lovingly restored and converted stone barn. Our aim is for guests to experience a historic and traditional Irish country home, while enjoying the comforts of modern living. We have SKYTV, DVD and WIFI but we can also offer the peace and quiet of the rural Irish countyside. Three double bedrooms compliment a spacious open plan ground floor. With its own grounds and parking, this stone property is on the edge of three counties and perfect for exploring the ancient south east and its coast.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. One of two self catering barn conversions 3.5km from Slane Village. When you arrive you will be allocated The Stables or The Paddock. Both accommodation units are the same and located side by side. No 3rd party bookings and our accommodation is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. "Stable Cottage"

"Stable Cottage" is an old traditional style, converted stone barn, near our historic old farmhouse. It retains many original features such as the original old natural slated roof, old beams, pine boarded floors, exposed original stone walls etc. etc.. It is very quiet and peaceful, on a small working tillage farm. Originally, it was the stable where the horses were sheltered and fed for the winter months while the wheat, feed oats etc was stored on the loft overhead.

Old Barn Cottage

Our cosy cottage is a perfect base to explore Connemara. Enjoy our wood burning stove, underfloor heating, wet-room, pine furniture and leather two seater, 4 ring hob & oven, fridge, washing machine & microwave, a library, TV/DVD & garden sunroom with decking area. It is a perfect retreat for Couples and Solo Travellers especially, and a complimentary home cooked meal will be included at no extra cost for all those single guests travelling alone, if they wish.
