This house is so much larger than it looks in the pictures and the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Very private and peaceful and minutes from multiple boat launches for fishing, but also only 15 minutes from Guntersville or Scottsboro for restaurants, parks, and shopping. Comfy beds and clean interior. I would recommend and would definitely stay again!

Tony was awesome and very responsive to questions and concerns. The cabin was nice, clean and just what we needed for a week of fishing. Will definitely be booking with him again next year!

This is an absolutely amazing space for larger families or a big group of friends!!! These cabins sit on a gorgeous piece of land and the added touches of a fire pit, horse shoes, and corn hole boards make it an outdoorsman’s/woman’s dream! The inside looks as if an interior decorator came in and added all the little touches to make it even more beautiful and feels like a touch of home. Highly recommend because this is truly a GEM!!!!!

This was a great rental. From how clean it was to how comfortable. The kitchen had anything you could need plus a lot of little extras. We used the honey, the black tea, apple cider vinegar, etc... It was the most like having your kitchen at home of any place I have stayed. Wendy left us a dozen fresh eggs as a surprise check in gift. We ate them and they really seemed better than the store bought ones. Maybe that was just the vacation effect but they were great. The bed was comfortable and both bedrooms were roomy so you didn't feel squeezed in as you do sometimes. There was a screened in porch that we used when it rained and there was a fire pit which we used a couple of nights as well. The fenced in back yard made it so much nicer with having a dog. The house is very close, about 5 min. walk, to Brow Park. This is a small park with great views. It is also about a 5 min. walk down to the little shops and restaurants. Will stay again.

Beautiful home! Perfect for a weekend with family and close friends. We loved that the home was walkable to the top of Desoto Falls but also only a short hike to the bottom view via trail. The loft and top rooms were magical and absolutely perfect for our tween kids and us parents loved the screened porch and outdoor firepit. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us. We also appreciated how clean it was and the basket of welcome snacks. Five stars!

We stayed here with a group of 12 adults and 2 babies and there was more than enough space! The accommodations were lovely and very clean and the hosts were very responsive to any questions. The view is amazing and it was so nice to be able to relax while being close to some lovely hiking in DeSoto & Little River Canyon. Note that the description requires a separate security deposit- so don't be taken off guard.

Always a great stay at Wayward Cottage

An easy place to stay with kids. Jaims was a great host. The space is very welcoming. Scottsboro is very close for any groceries / easy dining out. Lake Guntersville has a lot of scenic spots to be on the water. The place will be perfect when there's a dock at the house, but was easy enough to go over to the boat ramp. Great stay to get away and shut off!

Beautiful surroundings and Kieth was very responsive

Our family went out for a few days during spring break and it was awesome!! My girls loved all of the animals, the big indoor pool, and fishing!! We plan to come again! Fred was also super responsive and the place was so easy to find!

The owner was very responsive. Very beautiful and clean home close to the water. Covered awning was perfect for our boat. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful property! Listing is exactly as expected. Lots of parking. Lots of space. Awesome covered dining area outside with lots of seating. Gas grill and green egg. Great firepit! We enjoyed hanging outdoors. Lots of seating at the inside dining table as well for games when it started raining. Plenty of heaters to warm the place up on the night the temps dropped. Great instructions and quick communication from the host. We had a no-stress Thanksgiving holiday stay.

Jason’s place was exceptional. The pictures do not do it justice. Very quiet, and convenient for the location. The feel is very comfortable and would definitely be a place that I go back to. Easy to find and easy check in.

We had a great little getaway here - saw beautiful sunsets, had a huge bedroom with a very comfortable king bed, nice bathroom with large walk in shower, giant tv and cute little kitchen! We had privacy and were able to bring our dog as well!! Host was very quick to respond and friendly! We would definitely stay again!
