Recommended place to stay with families

From the moment we walked in, we immediately knew the place was perfect. We had a larger group- 5 couples, so the fact that we all had our own bathroom was huge! Lia is the perfect hostess and addressed any questions we had right away. Even going as far as offering to have a microwave delivered next day when the one in the house wasn't working properly. We will absolutely be booking again with Lia on our next trip to Galena!! Thank you for all you do and going above and beyond our expectations!!

10/10 would stay again. Close enough to village center to be right there for the 4th of July parade and close enough to be at any number of local destinations in minutes. Exceptionally charming house, felt right at home.

We had a great time at this location. Our host, Margaret was extremely helpful and welcoming. The house and the property were beautiful and what we were looking for. We had plenty of space for our family to celebrate the holidays. Margaret was very responsive and kind when we had any questions. She even brought a family member's lost coat to the house when a business called her about it. She went above and beyond. I definitely recommend this property and the host.

Very nice place, a short drive into Galena and around 20 minutes to Chestnut Mountain. We stayed there with our daughter and two of her friends, and they thought it was great. It snowed before we arrived, and we appreciated that Stefania removed the snow and made it easy to get in and out.

Nice clean place located close to down town. The host made sure you had everything that you needed for a stay, including plenty of coffee! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent Airbnb experience

This was such a beautiful property to visit. The view is incredible. We especially enjoyed walking the trails that are cut through the meadows with our dog and watching the birds at the feeders and the cows grazing in the distance. The bottle of wine was a lovely welcome. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool table as well as the unique surroundings. Beds were comfortable. Short drive to Galena and Elizabeth. Highly recommend staying here!

This was my fourth time staying at Sandys and each time is just as enjoyable as the last. Her new wallpaper in the kitchen, bedrooms, and master bath are beautiful. She has a real knack for decor. She's always super helpful, kind, and her breakfasts dont disappoint! If you're looking to relax in a peaceful setting, but still be close to downtown Galena, this is THE place to stay.

This condo is perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was comfortable! The jet tub was relaxing and perfect for 2 people! Downfall is that the shower head is VERY small and there’s a weird clunking behind the toilet, in the plumbing.

We were able to check in a little early since we arrived earlier than anticipated, quaint little apartment full of charm and history. upstairs tenants were quiet, perfect for 3-4 people. just a half block from downtown

I would definitely stay here again. Loved that it was right off the water. Few places in town for night life . Lindsey real did a great job as a hostess as well.

This was a great choice for my first airbnb. It was the perfect size for me and my partner. We enjoyed our stay here check in and out instructions were very clear. It was very clean and decorated beautifully.

The condo was perfect for my large family. We had plenty of room, everything was clean and we had everything we needed.

Jan was great!! The place messed up our room but she did her best to make it right. We appreciate her attention and her desire to fix the situation.

Jan’s condo is a perfect location for galena. It’s not far from downtown or Eagle Ridge. It’s like the comfort of home without being home.

The place is about 5 miles from Galena but not a bad drive to town. If possible, stay in a suite that has a view. Beautiful to wake up to & star gaze at night. The pool is big, the hot tub is hot, the fitness center is well-equipped, & the kid's rec room also. The lobby is huge with a nice fireplace. The suites are large & like a nice, small apartment. It was fun going thru the many shops downtown. Make sure you take some time to tour Galena's many beautiful old homes & buildings. Visit the visitors center by the river in the old depot & have breakfast or lunch across the street at Ottos'. Love this town!

Had a wonderful stay at Barbra’s place. Very inviting an well decorated, beautiful view over the Mississippi River where we viewed gorgeous sun rises and hunter moon reflection over the water. Highly recommend staying at Barbra’s place if your travel’s bring you to this area.
