This place is absolutely perfect! The long dirt-road might fool you into thinking you’re driving to nowhere but once you arrive it’s exactly like the pictures and more! We were greeted by the lovely and very funny Sydney! He was so helpful and answer any questions we had. The space is so beautiful and well kept! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need! The rooms are spacious and well kept. Had an absolutely wonderful stay! I would definitely recommend this beautiful space to anyone and everyone!

It was absolutely lovely. The peaceful surroundings immediately makes you forget about the hustle and the bustle. The host (Sydney) takes great pride in his work and is very eager to be of assistance. It is very well appointed and tastefully decorated. I will most definitely recommend it.

Perfect escape to unwind

Comfortable, host was always responsive but still gave us complete privacy throughout. Was a lovely drive to break up the monotony of the n1. The pool was refreshing -to cool down and unwind after the long drive

We came for a night on the way down to the cape… loved it so much that we came back for 2 nights a week later on our return to Pretoria, Hennie is more than a host - he is our friend and we can’t wait to come stay with him again … We will be back next year for sure! And thank you again for the surprises you given us… super special! P

The Dusty Vine is a beautifully and delicately restored old tuinhuis, boasting national monument status. The restoration work is exceptional, blending the old-world character with modern comfort seamlessly. A highlight for us were the very tastefully, modern renovated bathrooms and updated kitchen boasting everything you could need for a self catering option. The property includes a lovely cottage as a second en-suite bedroom, connected to the main house through a wonderful central courtyard. If you're planning a stay in Philippolis, The Dusty Vine is a definite must. It offers a unique experience of history, comfort, and tranquility. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely overnight stay experience at Wilma’s place. Very comfortable and felt right at home. The kids enjoyed the spacious room, outdoor area with big lawn and beautiful garden. They even cooled off in the splash pool and had lots of fun. Wilma went out of her way to make sure we could have a meal at one of the local restaurants and made a booking for us. We would definitely recommend staying over here. Wilma is an amazing host and made us feel welcome and comfortable.

I truly enjoyed our stay. It’s a perfect stay over when you have a long drive. I would recommend two nights to truly enjoy it. It’s very clean. The Hosts are really amazing people. We got muffins, juice, tea, coffee and cereal for the kids. It’s cozy. We arrived late but they still accommodated us when we wanted to braai. They have all the things you need and you can sleep peacefully. The beds are comfy and the linen is clean. Thank you Mari and Roland. Thank you to your staff that helped close the gate and see us off. If we ever come that way again we will definitely stop by.
