Cosy spot with everything you need on a chilly winter’s night. We had a short stay en route to PE. Megan was incredibly accommodating and had our ordered supper waiting for us in the room. Peaceful and comfortable nights rest on our journey. Wish we could’ve stayed to explore more.

What a gem in the Eastern Free State. After a long drive from Potchestroom we were welcomed by our friendly hosts. We stayed in a charming, beautifully restored farmhouse dating back to 1880. The views from the house were incredible with the sun setting over the mountains. What a privilege to light a fire and enjoy a glass of wine in such a serene setting. We will certainly be back. We were only there 1 night more would have been better. We ordered lunch at the cafe to eat them and there and a dinner as well as breakfast. Dinner and breakfast was delivered to us in the room. Food was tasty and lot of it. We took a walk round the neighbourhood to stretch our legs after a long drive. The room was spot on and relaxing in the wooded glade. A very welcome shower. Everyone was helpful and Megan gave us advice for our onward route. Very useful due to roadworks with lots of "evil" speed humps to slow traffic (do them at walking pace) and varyable speed limits l was able to journey plan.

Louis was an exceptional host, providing a comfortable and welcoming stopover during our journey from Cape Town to Johannesburg. His hospitality and attention to detail made our stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend his place to fellow travelers.

De Kat was a pleasant surprise in a little town many just pass through. The ability to deal with issues outside of their control such as power shortages in the country talks to their great hospitality and readiness to assist their visitors. Knowing that my pets are also welcome makes it the perfect place for those with little ones usually not wanted as guests. Great hosts who welcomed us with open arms.

Set on the edge of a small bluegum tree forest on the edge of town. You have the benefit of being close to shops and restaurants but feel like you are in nature. Safe and secure parking with spacious units complete with a kitchen. You can do self catering or ask us to cook delicious meals for you. All meals are an additional cost. Breakfast is served in the Coffee Shop, please arrange if you would like breakfast before 8h30 and if you would like supper. Supper served in room. No food Sundays.

What a beautiful place. Our dog had the best time, playing with Bruce’s dogs and running around on the farm. Lovely breakfast too. Would definitely come back.
