The house is beautiful and is bigger than it seems. Allison was always responsive and clarified everything we needed. We loved the view of the lake and the living room, where we spent most of our time. The appliances are new, and the decoration makes you feel at home. It is a place to be rented once again.

We had a family gathering and found this home a lovely place to meet. The common areas were large and comfortable for our family of 11 adults and a few local family members who joined us for the day.

First time back in Southern Illinois since graduating SIUC in 2016. This trip did not disappoint. I wanted to show my fiancée the area I went to school and never stop talking about. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking, wineries, countless other outdoorsy activities.

This a beautiful property. We spent a lovely weekend here and enjoyed the setting. It was great for three couples. We used the main house and one of the cabins. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside and sitting by the fire at night. Thanks for a great weekend

Easy move in, easy move out, and the property was amazing to stay at. Definitely saving this location.

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

Great getaway! Quiet and relaxing.

I absolutely loved staying in the Wildflower Cabin and will be back! This place was beautifully decorated, down to the smallest detail. The location felt magical and I can’t wait to revisit! Perfect girls trip, getaway with loves of hiking - and of course, a trip to the local winery.

Our group of long time friends had a great time there. The house is great and had lots of amenities. Very roomy and had one of the best stocked kitchens I’ve seen for a rental. We enjoyed the game room, fire pit and large deck. We would definitely rent there again! The host is quick to respond to any questions we had.

The cabin was clean, secluded and very peaceful. We will stay there again when visiting family. Thank you Tom for a nice stay!

Loved our stay here. Was so peaceful sitting on the porch, hanging out on the dock or kayaking. Our host was very nice and even checked on us the first day since there was some flooding in the area but it didn’t affect our stay at all. Very clean and the shower had great water pressure.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! If you’re looking for a romantic get away or even a peaceful retreat this is definitely the place. There were all kinds of birds flying around, deer came to visit us as well, and the hot tub is overlooking the lake making it impossible to get out (except for when you start to feel like you’re in a stew lol) top to bottom this trip was excellent!

This is our third stay in cabin A at lake Hohman, and it was as prefect as ever. The cabin is fitting for a couple looking for a getaway, everything was clean and fresh. The hot tub is a perfect ending to a day of hiking or kayaking. The lake has abundant wildlife to admire and listen too. Hohman lake is a peaceful gem in the wild. We love it here!!
