Alojamientos vacacionales en Kagawa District, Naoshima

One of our favourite places we stayed the entire trip! Large room, quiet but still close to the port, comfortable bed, cool design, and really sweet little things in the room, from the things to wear to the tea cups. If you’re trying to decided between staying in Uno or Naoshima (we did both) your experience really isn’t that much different, and taking the ferry over in the morning is fun! If I did it again I would stay in this spot for the whole time rather than jumping around like what we did. Also, there are lots more places for dinner open in Uno than Naoshima, and a couple of bars open after 9pm.

The Uno Port Inn was perfectly located right between the train station and port and served as the perfect launching point for our visits to Naoshima and Teshima. The Miyazaki room was small and the bathroom was down the hall, but it was all as described and served our needs fine. We appreciated the very friendly and proactive staff that was always there in the lobby to greet us every day, and the breakfast was a nice bonus as well. We had a very beautiful, quiet stay.

Beautiful space, convenient location close to Uno Port and lots of restaurants, and a very helpful and accommodating host :) We would stay here again!

This stay was our most amazing experience in 12 years of visiting Airbnbs in many countries. Kōichirō-san and Mayu-san were so warm and friendly that they made us feel welcome from the start. Communication was easy through Google translate and we had fun learning about the island wildlife, including the elusive, very cute tanuki. Walking through the forest and along the beaches, Kōichirō-san showed us the special retreat he’s creating on Mukoujima, which showcases historic Japanese life. Every day he took us in his boat to Honmura so we could walk around Naoshima and picked us up at the end of the day. And the food was superlative! Each breakfast and dinner was full of delicious homegrown, homemade treats. Pickles to die for, oden with chikuwa, daikon and other goodies, kuramame and other sweet bean treats, and fresh fruit from the garden. We’ve never eaten better or more authentically in Japan. We can’t wait to come back with our daughters, to see how Kōichirō’s dream is developing.

Perfect stay for Naoshima Island. Authentic Japanese house with lots of space in a quiet area. We loved it and would recommend to anyone visiting. Having the e-bikes pre booked and already at the house for us was so convenient

Yota was an amazing host! He cooked us both breakfast and dinner, showed us around the island, and gave us countless recommendations for local food, music, and art. The food was all homemade using locally sourced produce, and was easily the best meal we had in Japan. This was a wonderful experience!

The room above Buddy’s restaurant is large, with windows the length of two whole walls - so there’s lots of natural light. The toilet is down the hall, and the bathroom / shower downstairs - but they are both private and only for your use. The 50s vibe is strong - with period fittings and decor throughout. But everything works! Buddy himself was a delight - so friendly and helpful. We arrived on Naoshima way before check-in time but he met us and stored our luggage - and even volunteered to drive us to Benesse House to save us getting the bus. Nothing was too much trouble. Worth the stay just to meet Buddy! Definitely recommended
