The Blue Beach House

Come and stay in our awesome and sunny guest house in Mangawhai Heads! Only 15 minutes walk from the estuary beach, the Wood street shops and 30 minutes walk to the popular surf beach! You will love staying here, the apartment has large north facing triple stacker sliding doors that you can leave open to soak in the all day sun! Even in winter you will feel like you are in the middle of summer. You will also enjoy amazing views of the Brynderwyns and fresh fruits from our garden (in season)!

This recently renovated, spacious studio is the perfect base to explore everything Whangarei Heads has to offer. Pristine beaches, snorkeling, diving, surfing, & stunning walks for all levels of fitness are just a short drive away. Soak in the sensational views and the peaceful surroundings. It is especially lovely relaxing on the deck as the sun sets. Perfect for a couple or small family- floor mattress on request. It's a short walk to the shops and a 25-minute drive to Whangarei town basin.

Studio Selah - Parua Bay

Studio Selah is set in a private peaceful setting overlooking the estuary that flows out to Parua Bay. Consisting of a combined kitchenette, dining, living area with queen sized bed and a separate bathroom. Relax on the deck area or kayak or paddle-board out to the bay. Studio Selah is in an ideal location to explore the Whangarei Heads many beautiful beaches and walks. It’s 5 mins drive to Parua Bay Village which has a 4 Square and a couple of cafe’s and is 2 minutes walk to the PB Tavern.

Marina Vista Cabin - Quiet Secluded Beach

This is a small cabin suitable for short stays, the bedroom is small but it is compensated by the location, deck, bathroom & beach which are great. Sit on kayaks & stand-up paddle are available free of charge. Tidy comfortable cabin just meters from a lovely private beach & walking distance to cafes, fishing club & pizzeria. No road noise, safe swimming, kayaking or trips to the Poor Knights Islands. BASIC cooking only; BBQ, Fridge, plates, cups, glasses, etc. Great eateries near by.

Although centrally located, it is remarkably quiet and spacious, set well back from the road and surrounded by established gardens and mature trees. Accessed via a long private driveway with electric gates and a surrounding brick wall, the property showcases a beautifully preserved 1906 Villa homestead (your host's home), with the fully renovated Guesthouse sitting privately behind it and enjoying views toward Parihaka Mountain.

This modern guesthouse with a 5 metre stud has a large mezzanine bedroom with a super king bed and two singles, open plan living/dining/kitchen area with extensive decks and concrete floors throughout. Features include spa pool, fireplace, indoor/outdoor dining areas, set on a 1 acre property. 2 minutes drive to market, restaurants and takeaways, including the iconic Mangawhai Tavern. 10-15 minutes drive to your choice of white-sand surf beaches and world class golf courses.

Studio 44 - Central 1 bdrm studio in Riverside

Renovated with unique touches, our 1 bedroom Studio space is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. A 15-20min walk along the Hatea Loop gets you to the Town Basin, home to newly opened Hündertwasser Museum, Wairau Māori Art Gallery, waterfront dining, and centre of town shopping. Best for 1-2 guests, but can snugly accommodate up to 4. Onsite carpark next to the self check-in studio apartment, fully detached & separate from the main house dwelling.

Cabin with beautiful views

Take a break and enjoy the peace and beauty of the Waipu hills. The cabin is located well away from the main house with it's own carport. It has a kitchenette with fridge, hotplates, microwave and a small oven . The spacious deck is prefect for outdoor dining. Relax and enjoy the rural views or head out and explore the area. Waipu township just 10 mins away. Waipu Cove and Uretiti beaches 15-20 mins. Waipu Caves and Piroa Fall are definitely worth a visit too.

A lovely fully equipped modern cottage in a rural setting on the beautiful Kaipara Harbour (only 90 mins north of Auckland). Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.

Peaceful Garden Cabin

Our cabin is a cosy retreat set in our garden. It has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It is only 20 minutes from central Whangarei and 10 minutes from Kamo, Maungatapere and SH1 so if you are travelling it would be great a place to stay. Our garden cabin would be suitable for very good value medium to long term stays.
