This is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. You can tell how considerate the host is from the little things like providing welcome fruits and beach gears, to the abundance of toiletries and first aid kits. We fell asleep to the sounds of nature and woke up to the beautiful sunrise on the ocean. There is a stunning black sand beach 5 mins away on foot, and our kids had an amazing time even though we were worried about the nudity initially. People there were extremely respectful and we did not feel uncomfortable at all! Thank you for making our trip a magical experience!

WOW! This is hands down the BEST Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at! I booked this place having never visited this end of the island before and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Howard met us at check in and showed us the property and created the ambiance with candles and a fire pit going. His place was beautiful, peaceful and serene. The property is adorned with beautiful trees, flowers and fruit. Howard gave us wonderful recommendations and we even joined him and his friends at Uncle Robert’s for the weekly Wednesday night party! Howard is accommodating, warm, friendly and kind. The home is very private and the outdoor shower and bathtub were absolutely perfect! I feel like I’ve found a lifetime friend in Howard and look forward to visiting him again! Thank you so much for everything!!

This is a beautiful location with a very calm and serene pond and Koi fish! It has a wonderful porch with lots of chairs, and the bathrooms are fantastic. You are right next to the ocean and can walk right over to experience the waves and the surf. And there is a gate at the end of the driveway that helps you feel secure. It’s a very nice home and I’m glad we chose it!

I have stayed in many airbnb’s and this was by far my favorite. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived. Greg was friendly and responsive and had lots of great suggestions. They have thought of everything you might possibly need. Such a beautiful and peaceful property- we were sad to leave.

One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Janice was so kind and communicated great with us. The view is even better in person and the house was bigger in person too! Everything pictured is better than you can imagine. We saw turtles from the cliff every day! Hot tub was fun and so were the games. Neighborhood was great for walks and everyone is so friendly. We did not want to leave!

What a lovely find! Secluded, safe, spacious, gorgeous surroundings. We would’ve loved to have spent more time here. Kate was a very responsive host and made us feel right at home. Mahalo!

Awesome place and responsive host. Right on Carl Smith Beach Park, which is beautiful. Balcony is screened which cuts down on bugs, place and was super clean with thoughtful beach supplies that made our stay much more comfortable.

THE VIEW!! WOW!!! And the space - small, but all we needed. Booked only one bedroom and it worked out great. At first, we were concerned we were 40 mins drive from family in Hilo, but it ended up being a blessing! The sun was shining at Robyn's, while we watched the rain clouds over Hilo. Robyn is an awesome host - she answered questions quickly and made great suggestions.If she tells you the volcano is erupting, get in the car and immediately drive down to the park. And why do I say this? We lingered, being lazy on the deck with the amazing view and missed seeing the volcano erupting by 30 minutes 😔.Oh well, guess we will have to book another stay!

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

Paradise Waits in Pāhoa truly is a unique and special place. The grounds are lovely and private and we enjoyed both the pool and hot tub. Suzie was very responsive and made recommendations for restaurants which we enjoyed. It is as stated in the write up, outdoorsy and tropical - remote and very relaxing. We enjoyed breakfast at the surfboard bar in the kitchen and dinner in the dining area. This was our first stay on this side of the island and it was a fun adventure. And, if you enjoy stargazing- it’s spectacular!

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!

Sonja and Alex are exemplary Airbnb hosts! They are thoughtful and attentive. We could not have asked for more! If you are going to the Big Island, do yourself a favor and stay in this beautiful oasis. My husband and I had an amazing time, Sonja and Alex left chocolates and fresh island fruits in our space and made us feel 100% at home. Future visits to Hawaii (big island) will be spent here. Our condo had a nice view and was comfortable, the location is great, next to beautiful lava pools and a beach park. We had a great meal across the street at Seaside!

This stay way absolutely wonderful. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and fell asleep nightly to the soothing jungle sounds. The host was extremely accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. This has been my favorite Airbnb stay by far! I will definitely be staying here again if I ever make it back to the islands !

This was probably one of the nicest, most idyllic places I've ever stayed in. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, so thoughtfully put together, super clean and luxurious, and you instantly feel welcome and at home. The beautiful lakai (patio) overlooks a lucious paradise of a garden, you wake up in the most comfortable bed to the sounds of exotic birds and a view of the sky and the trees through the windows, the "outside/inside" shower makes you feel like you're in the trees while enjoying maximum privacy, cute geckos pay you a visit on the lakai or in the little meditation/yoga studio in the garden, the night sounds of frogs and the stars you can see from bed.. paradise! Not to mention the perfectly equipped kitchen (oils, spices, coffee, tea etc.) and bathroom (the fluffiest towels, and the guest toothpaste saved our first night/morning there), two comfy robes, books, a lovely welcome basket, you name it. If I'm ever back on Big Island, I will definitely stay here again!

Robert and Erin were great hosts and communicators. The house is located across a beautiful park/beach. Even though the park was busy it didn’t fell intrusive at all, we loved having our coffee on the front porch in the mornings and unwinding in it at night. We have young boys who loved all the chickens and lizards in the yard, and seeing the sea turtles across the street. Overall the house is in great shape and met our expectations!

Beautiful house across the toad from Kehena Beach. The rooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were immaculate. Kitchens were stocked with dishes, glasses and utensils and much more. Loved sitting on the lanai. Beautiful view of the ocean. Walking distance to the drum circle on the lawn. Just a fantastic stay!

Jim’s place was AMAZING! View was spectacular & home was so clean and cozy. Looking forward to the next time I visit Hawaii just to stay here again! Highly recommended. My family can’t stop thinking about our stay here. 10/10!!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and well-appointed home! The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning tropical ocean view—we even spotted whales and dolphins right from the deck! The location is fantastic, just a short walk to a breathtaking black sand beach (clothing-optional), though swimming is best for strong swimmers. The home is comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. As expected in the tropics, the environment can be a bit tough on materials, but that’s just part of the charm of being in such a beautiful, natural setting. The host communicated really well and has done a great job keeping the space welcoming and well-equipped. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway immersed in nature, this is a fantastic spot. We would absolutely stay again!

Incredible place and prime locations. Just walk across the street and you're at the beach. Walk a little to the left and you're at another beach with a huge wading pool. Kids loved snorkeling there. And, although I didn't know at the time of booking, the side and backyard is huge with lush tropical plants. Felt like we were in Costa Rica! As previous guests mentioned, the upstairs is apart from downstairs, with a separate side entrance (they are not connected). But there are no visible neighbors due to all the trees, so I don't know why other reviewers mentioned neighbors being loud. Such is not the case at all; but the beach across the street is public, so it gets crowded during the day. Felt completely safe the whole time.

First time on the big island and this location will hold a special place. The neighborhood of Pahoa offers a perfect peaceful retreat to enjoy the peace and culture of the big island. With this airbnb being located walking distance to many great overlooks to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Richard is a great host who was able to answer questions not only about to location but also giving great insight on local attractions as well. Would recommend this listing to anyone who is looking to take a moment and appreciate the beautiful things in life.
