We had an amazing visit, checked in Friday with no issues then drove around downtown Bandera and had amazing food and drinks. Location is very convenient to the town but yet far enough away that you feel like your in the middle of nowhere. The view at this rental was beyond beautiful! We loved just sitting outside enjoying the view. It was nice and quiet and very peaceful. Definitely recommend booking, you will not be disappointed!!

David and Athena have done an absolutely amazing job with this place. We came here for our first wedding anniversary, and it exceeded our expectations. David and Athena put thought into every detail, and it shows. Very comfortable, very clean, very peaceful location. David and Athena are also very warm, welcoming hosts. We will definitely be back. Beautiful place. I did know it was going to be small, but it was even smaller than expected. I did not love the fact that we had to take all of our trash with us when we left. But other than that it was very comfortable and relaxing! Hot tub was awesome, and star gazing was great.

Absolutely beautiful views and it was worth the price. The cabin was cozy and clean. It made us feel like home. We’re already planning our next stay. It’s not too far from town for wine tours and check out the local restaurants. Our host was very responsive and took extra steps on the basics on the inside. We can’t wait for our next trip.

A great, quiet home for 2 couples. The area was very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The outside seating areas were just as clean as the inside. I never saw any cobwebs or spiders. The chairs were free of dust and didn’t need to be wiped off before I sat down. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for your home, the bottle of wine, snacks, and plenty of coffee!

Such a great property, and our cabin was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Living and kitchen area is spacious and open, very nice bathroom (awesome water pressure on the showerhead), and the bed was comfortable. Despite the outside temps having reached freezing during our stay, the bedroom kept nice and warm, the main area didn’t keep as warm though. The hot tub, perfect…and the view of the stars, amazing. We hadn’t seen this many stars at other parts of Texas that we have stayed at, and this was such a treat. We didn’t cook at the cabin, but the kitchen is spacious and comfortable for cooking for anyone who plans to. Overall, we couldn’t have picked a better property for the type of relaxing and outdoorsy getaway than Basecamp. We plan on coming back and checking out the other cabins and/or tents! Thank you all for sharing these gems! The property has an awesome lake for kayaking, a walking trail and other walking areas.

Tamra was super responsive and very kind! The pool area alone makes it worth every penny. Tamra sent helpful suggestions prior to our arrival and the detailed instructions for getting there really helped us. Will definitely be booking this place again for a summer getaway! It was so peaceful and relaxing.

Great place to stay got some rain so we were able to see the river come up some. Got there early host was able to let us in early. Hot tub was perfect. The inside was really nice and well maintained. My wife got some decoration ideas, that’s going to cost me some money. Anyway definitely worth the trip.

Dora Cabin was a cozy spot for our mini-getaway. The front porch was a perfect place to sit and chat, and the cabin itself was comfortable and had everything we needed.

The cabin is adorable with all the necessary amenities. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the wildlife.

What a beautiful vacation away from the busy city life. This bunkhouse was well equipped for relaxation including a beautiful view, lovely plung pool off the deck and a gorgeous bathtub that you could swim in with a rain shower next to it that was just as luxurious. The beds and linen were comfortable. The refrigerator is on the smaller side, what you’d expect with a bunkhouse but it was adorable. The driveway is 1.5 mile hard packed dirt but very well maintained. There is a plethora of wildlife along the way so keep your eyes open! The hosts are responsive and extremely helpful and nice! Will return again when in the area!

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. The Cabin is super cute and secluded in beautiful Texas Hill Country. Everything you need has been thoughtfully provided. There is a full size kitchen and plenty of space to relax on the couch or beds all in one open space. Kathleen left lovely notes for places to go and thing's to do. I thoroughly enjoyed the property and the beautiful landscape. We spent our weekend hiking, exploring and driving the Twisted Sister's back roads soaking up the country views. My favorite part of our stay was watching the hummingbirds and wildlife off the back porch. Very peaceful and serene. We brought our dog with us as well, so pet friendly! Utopia is a cute place and super tiny! Be sure if you're staying a while to stock up a cooler and plan to cook! Everything you need is in the kitchen. I definitely recommend and give 5 stars and will be planning to go again!

We had a nice time! Very peaceful, clean and quiet place. I like that has minimal decors and spacious. Dana and Kelsey were excellent in communicating and messaging us about their instructions.

This place is absolutely perfect for a quaint weekend away. You are only 15 minutes from Fredericksburg main street and yet have the peaceful serenity of being in your own little world. We were able to bring our two dogs with no issue, and they had the perfect space for us to set up their kennel. Our phone GPS found the address with zero issues, and we had no problem at all using the key box. The firepit was loaded with wood and ready to go when we got there and the grill was available as well. We already plan to schedule more visits to this airbnb throughout the year. We found our new favorite weekend getaway.

This little cabin was a great surprise. Came here for a few days for my girlfriend’s birthday. Upon arrival, we immediately knew that pictures hadn’t done the place justice. It was a lot more manicured in person and had a awesome view of the river. We drank coffee on the porch every day and bird watched/deer watched every morning and night. The bed was comfortable and the couch was just enough space to cozy up and watch a movie on the TV. Our dog is great off leash, and with supervision he had the time of his life down by the river. Bandera was an awesome town, and again, we were pleasantly surprised by all they had to offer. We are excited to go back and spend more time in the town of Bandera. The stay overall was basically five star, but here a few things to know: The road to get to town is windy and hilly and dangerous at night so be careful. Bring your own steak knives. You’ll have to space your showers out at least an hour apart or be prepared to shower in cold water. Thanks!!

A great getaway near the river! We appreciated all the extras that were included i.e. kayaks, floats, life vests, towels that we needed to enjoy the water. Everything was nicely labeled to help find items within the home. Plenty of items to cook meals. Highly recommend!

This cabin may be historic, but it has plenty of modern amenities for a great stay. All the antique decor was a nice touch. AC was cold, we love a ceiling fan, and the shower was a big size with great water temperature/pressure. I can't forget to mention how comfy the bed and pillows were! Cindy made lots of great suggestions not only via message but also in a nice printed guide in the room. The location was on a nice quiet street only one block away from Main. The place was private but still ready to find.

We loved our stay at the cabin. Nancy and Charles were friendly and gracious - going out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. Nancy made great suggestions for our day in Fredericksburg. She even made reservations for us at one of her favorite restaurants. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. If we are back to the area we would love another stay.

This was our second stay at this property and we absolutely love it. The hosts are very welcoming and easy to communicate with. It’s a very secluded property and great for anyone who loves nature. The sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing are all amazing!!
