Hanatsu means 'let go'. We designed this place so you can relax and let go in the busy-ness of travel through the ideal of "shibui" (subdued and simple). Here we are proud to offer the feeling of Japan in a comfortable private whole house; the beauty of tatami, earthen walls, sliding doors, tile and washi (Japanese paper). The Uno port ferry is 3 min by nearby train (14 by EA bike) so we serve as an ideal gateway to the Inland Sea islands, including of course Naoshima, Teshima and Inujima.

iikazegafuku.｜It's a charming small inn on Teshima

It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. From the window, you can see old houses, mountains, and persimmon trees, with the morning light streaming in. Experience an extraordinary space and time.

It is a typical Japanese rural house with an attractive wooden terrace on a large site in the middle of the rice field. Since its opening in 2016, travelers from all over the world have visited and discovered the charm of the Japanese countryside. There are many places where you can enjoy nature and traditional culture within an hour's drive. It's a bit far from your neighbor's house, so you can have a quiet relaxing time with your family and friends.

Japanese Potter's Guesthouse - Wasyugama Kiln Stay

Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan. Most guests stay 2–3 nights, but longer stays are warmly welcomed. The house, hand-built with natural wood by my father and me, is a private rental with kitchen, bath, and beds for up to 5 guests.
