Comfortable, homely and a little bit quirky, this property has 3 double rooms, a bathroom, a large family kitchen ,lounge with open coal fire, day room/ utility room. The enclosed back garden has an outside toilet, a newly renovated art/craft studio with running water and is secure and can be used for storing bicycles, golf clubs etc. Two well behaved dogs welcome, please include dogs when booking.

It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. It is in easy walking distance of the local attractions including the Kirkcudbright Gallery, harbour, Broughton House, castle, swimming pool, pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. The nearest beach is about 15 minutes drive away. Unlimited on street parking is available right outside the door, and a private back garden and patio has access to the local play park and caravan site.

Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
