Yukiko is such a wonderful host. My partner and I have had a great time in her beautiful townhome. It was peaceful and had everything that we needed. I highly recommend that someone who doesn’t want a typical hostel/hotel experience to come here!!!

Excellent location close to Kyoto train station. Lovely house and very comfy beds. Family of 4 had a great stay. Nice bath/shower with lovely hot water. Would definitely recommend.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet appartement à la japonaise. L’hôte a été réactive et flexible pour notre arrivée. Le logement est à 25min à pieds de la gare. Pour ce déplacer privilégier le réseau de bus, très pratique et économique à Kyoto. Petits et grands supermarchés à proximité.

A great accommodation! Loved the traditional house and the surrounding quiet streets. Both me and my partner enjoyed the house overall, the futons and blankets were especially comfortable. Shunsuke was a very helpful and kind host, providing us with all the information needed for a smooth stay.

Katsura club is an experience of Kyoto and Japan on its own. Our host Koichi is very warm, welcoming, and kind, he speaks little English but that didn’t hinder his communication skills. He gave us a tour of the house and taught us the history behind Katsura Club and it’s very educational. He’s very thorough and detailed with teaching us how to use the amenities around the house. A little story: It’s our first time in Kyoto Station and we got lost trying to find the lockers we put our luggages in and so we left it there prior to checking in. Koichi noticed that we didn’t have anything with us and asked where our stuff was, and after telling him what had happened, he offered to drop us off at the station. This just shows how attentive, hospitable and accommodating of a host he is. He even wanted to wait until we got our stuff and drop us back at Katsura club but we politely declined. As much as I’d love to keep this gem all to myself, it truly deserves to be experienced by others.

This is the ideal place to stay when visit Kyoto, so close to the Kyoto station. The place is charming, spacious, convenient. We all appreciated the Japanese bath and the massage chair. They helped us relax and recuperated after a long day walking and sightseeing. The host was great, provided us with clear instructions and quick communication via messages. We will definitely recommend this place to others.

An absolute gem of a host and Airbnb! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our first anniversary, and it was truly a special experience. The traditional townhouse is beautifully maintained, with all the modern amenities and the comfort of a five-star hotel. Ume greeted us warmly upon arrival, showed us around the property, and provided helpful guidebooks with her personal recommendations for the area. We rented e-bikes for 24 hours from a fantastic shop just across the canal, and exploring Kyoto on wheels was lots of fun. If you're visiting Kyoto, don’t miss out on this place — book it!

房间非常干净整洁，适合朋友多人共同游玩居住；离乌丸九条地铁站需步行十分钟路程，但地段安全宁静；房东热情友善且沟通回复及时，是一次非常好的入住体验！

房子的位置很舒服 周边京都氛围非常好 走路可以到达金阁寺 美中不足的是和室窗户外正对着隔壁的路灯 晚上睡觉时非常亮

Very beautiful and clean accomodation. We were a group of five and were able to just fit all of our luggages in. The inclusion of a second shower and second toilet was much appreciated. The Wi-Fi network was also very fast which we loved because some of us had to do work online while on holiday. Flexible check-in was greatly appreciated. I am glad we stayed here and would love to come back again.

We were very excited when we saw how new, clean and modern this place is. It looks like it has just been remodeled. For Japan, it was also quite spacious. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and very nice. This location is in a quieter neighborhood, but still close to Kyoto station (10 min walk). There were restaurants around, but not as many as there are on the other side of the train station, where there is a lot more tourist traffic and noise. That said, one of our favorite dinners of the whole trip was right around the corner from this place. Would be nice to have blackout shades in bedroom number 2, otherwise this place was perfect for us (family of 4) and served as a delightful oasis for us to return to after a full day in Kyoto.

We enjoyed our stay at Akiko's Miyagawacho-Samurai-Machiya. It was spacious and a beautiful traditionally renovated home that was perfect for our group of 8 guests. It was also very comfortable with the equivalent of 4 full bathrooms. The home was very charming and its layout and traditional feel added to the overall experience of our holiday in Japan. The location also allowed us to walk everywhere for sight seeing, shopping, and restaurants.

Exactly what we needed after the last few weeks in hotels. It made us feel like we were locals for that moment. Everything is 10mins walk away and you’re close to the river for those sunrise/ sunset walks.

we had a great stay, we felt comfortable, we slept well. it was nice to stay in and experience japanese traditional living space. bed was comfortable, heater and heated floor rug kept us warm during the colder weather. space was nice and plenty for the 5 of us. locationwise was great since it was just 2-3 minutes walk to the train station and less than 10 minutes walk to Fushimi Inari shrine entrance. Sorrounding neighborhood was so peaceful. we loved it!

Beautiful house one station away from Kyoto station, the interior matches the description. The house has everything you might need amenities-wise. The futon beds are also very comfy. We enjoyed our stay.

very classic Japanese style house with good functional facilities, including floor heating. Good location, it's very easy to find, and some good Japanese restaurants and cafes around there.

This was our favorite place we stayed in Japan. It was larger than expected inside with a dining table and two spaces for tea. The sleeping area was also spacious and relaxing with shoji screens on all the windows. The neighborhood is very quiet and private with a nice stone path inside the gate. It's a 5 minute walk to Kyomizu-dera template, and 20 minutes to Gion. Walking back at night through the side streets is especially pleasant compared to staying in a hotel downtown.

Our family of four loved staying here. We were very comfortable and loved the traditional features of the home. Close to everything!!

入住的时候出现了点困难，根据谷歌地址到达后怎么也打不开钥匙盒，随后步行百米才找到正确的房屋。选择这家的理由是因为装修风格特别符合我的审美，实际跟图片一模一样。美中不足的是，室内有很多巨大的蚂蚁，希望可以改善。周围很安静，适合睡眠不好的人，几十米就有便利店和超市。

I was impressed by the attention to detail and the beauty of the place. The pleasant scents throughout the house added a refined touch to the atmosphere. Bathing and relaxing in the tub while looking out at the zen rock garden was truly indescribable. Sleeping on the futon bed was incredibly comfortable. There were clear instructions for everything in the house, and tea, kitchen essentials, and utensils were all fully provided. The place was extremely clean, well-organized, and exceeded my expectations. There was underfloor heating in the tatami area and kitchen, as well as air conditioning and heating in every room. I really appreciated having a vending machine and a LUUP scooter right next to the house, which made getting around easy. The host was very helpful and provided all the assistance I asked for, and I’m truly grateful for that. I highly recommend staying at this machiya, and if I ever visit Kyoto again, I’ll definitely spend my nights here. It was a wonderful experience that
