Gorgeous place in a lovely setting / would’ve liked a few nights there! Had everything we needed. Great to have the option to purchase drinks, especially as abit out of town!

We truly enjoyed our stay on the farm! The house was exceptionally neat and clean, and equipped with everything we needed. It was spacious and comfortable – perfect for a peaceful getaway. The quietness of the farm created a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, and we were welcomed with such warmth and friendliness. We genuinely felt at home. I can highly recommend this place and would definitely love to stay here again when are in the area.

Even though I had the unavoidable inconvenience of a delayed trip and the eventual cancellation of my entire booking, I could not have asked for a better and more gracious Host(s) in Elmarie and Arie. Elmarie was so easy and pleasant to communicate with and was ever ready to assist me in any way (and going above and beyond) during my delayed trip and trying to reschedule the dates to suit. In every way, even though I was unable to take advantage of my booking, I have absolutely no hesitation in rebooking a stay there - should the opportunity arise again in the near future. Not only was Elmarie a gracious and understanding Host, but more important was the friendship and connection with the heart of the South African people. I am immensely grateful and thankful that I have had the experience to know Elmarie.

This is a beautifully secluded location providing wonderful views and complete peace. We watched a variety of wildlife from our veranda while eating breakfast. Dan took us on two long drives around the enormous and varied reserve and he was informative and helpful throughout. The accommodation surpassed what we were expecting and we loved the whole experience.

We had the most magical time at the French Cottage. Such incredible views and the cottage is full of charm and character. The little touches throughout made it such a special place to stay and we felt completely at home here. Philip was a fantastic host - kind, responsive and a super nice guy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we’re leaving with a little piece of our souls in the Karoo. Thanks for everything, Philip

We stayed at Vygiebos cottage for 3 nights and it was absolute bliss...The Karoo quiet cannot be described in words and a must on the bucket list for all... lovely hosts, beautiful basic cottage with everything you need for a no nonsense break... We will definitely be back, highly recommended!!!!

Special place saved us from the heat, cool and welcoming with ice cold water , very comfortable. Superb hostess
