Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

The cottage is on a quiet and beautiful place. The terrace faces south and in calm nice weather it is great to have a nice evening with barbeque grill or lying in the hot tub watching the stars or at winter time watching the amazing northern lights. Great hiking paths are in the area and lots of Icelandic horse realated activities are all around.We are located between Hveragerði and Selfoss (5km from Hveragerði and 10km from Selfoss). The apartment is 65 m2 apartment and it consists of an open plan kitchen ,living room and bedroom.The bedroom has one king size bed that can be pulled apart, living room has a sofabed that is 140 cm x 200 .The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub and a shower. The apartment has a private entrance and is on second floor in a friendly 2 apartment house.

A beautiful cozy cottage

A beautiful cottage in a big garden of another property. Hveragerdi is a small town and is inside the Golden circle. Supermarket, bakery, tourist info, bank and postoffice are all within walking distance. The famous hot spring (for bathing) in Reykjadalur is a 45 min walk away. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, one double bed in the living area and one double bed upstairs (airbed). It has a microwave oven and a small stove and all the basic cooking equipments.

Our guests have the ground floor of the house mostly for themselves, it has its own entrance and consist of one bedroom with double bed and desk, and another room with a sofa, sink, fridge, microwave and a kettle. Small private toilet and the shower is in the laundry room. The space is ideal for 2 people. The house is close to Hamraborg bus station (10 minutes walk), local swimming pool, Sky Lagoon, bakery, supermarket, pharmacy and more.

Stunning villa with amazing 360 views, great location close to the golden circle and the capital region (only 30 min drive). The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeps 10 people. Himri is very spacious (300 sqm) and has everything you could wish for - a fully equipped gym and game room, a sauna and a hot tub. We just bought the villa and just finished a complete renovation. Gamla Húsið - The Old Farm-House

Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.

Beautiful small cottage in the downtown area of Reykjavik. The place was completely renovated and refurnished in 2017. There are two single beds which can easily be combined into a large bed for a couple. Great location just a few minutes walk from the main restaurants, shops, city hall, Reykjavik harbour and Harpa concert hall. Very close to public transportations and pick-up locations for tours.
